The Russo Brothers' The Gray Man which premiered on Netflix on 22 July 2022 starring Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, and Ana De Armas in the lead with Dhanush playing a small pivotal role has been a global phenomenon ever since its release. With a production budget of a whopping $200 million, it is among the most expensive films ever conceived by Netflix.

The Gray Man is an action thriller that pulls out all the stops. A new clip was released by its makers in which Ryan Gosling and the Russo Brothers break down the visual effects from some of the film's most exciting scenes, including the dropship fight scene, trolley car fight sequence, escaping the trap door, and more.

Swen Gillberg, who worked as the Visual FX Supervisor for the film, gets into the nooks and crannies of this visual effects breakdown. Both Anthony Russo and Joe Russo divulge some key pieces of information as well. They get into the details of how the scenes were shot and talk about the intricacies that they had to deal with in order to get it right. They used a vast variety of different tech in order to get the shots and effects as perfectly as they could. Watching the film, it looks like it definitely paid off.

The Gray Man is based on the 2009 novel of the same name by Mark Greaney and it is the first film in a franchise based upon his Gray Man novels. The film focuses on Sierra Six, the CIA’s most skilled operative whose true identity is known to none, who accidentally uncovers dark and damning agency secrets leading to a psychopathic former colleague putting a bounty on his head and setting off a global manhunt by international assassins at the same time.
