Suriya will be celebrating his 46th birthday on Friday and is currently attached to a number of high-profile projects lined up next. In light of his birthday tomorrow, it was announced earlier this week that the tentatively titled Suriya 40's first look poster and the film's title will be unveiled. Being directed by blockbuster director Pandiraj of Kadaikutty Singam and Namma Veettu Pillai fame, Sun Pictures on Thursday released the much-awaited Suriya 40 first look poster, with the film's title revealed to be Etharkkum Thunindhavan. 

The Etharkkum Thunindhavan first look screams mass all the way and has no doubt come as a massive treat for Suriya's fans, who have been riding the wave considering the title look poster for his Vaadivaasal was unveiled last week, while the superstar will also be seen next in Mani Ratnam's Navarasa in the 'Guitar Kambi Mele Nindru' segment directed by Gautham Menon on Netflix from August 6. Expectations for Etharkkum Thunindhavan are mammoth as it marks the first time Suriya and Pandiraj are working together after the former had produced Pasanga 2 and Kadaikutty Singam under his 2D Entertainment banner. Fans also are waiting to witness Suriya in action on the big screen in Etharkkum Thunindhavan as they had missed out to catch the actor come on top in Soorarai Pottru, which skipped a theatrical release and premiered on Amazon Prime Video due to the pandemic. 

Apart from Suriya, Etharkkum Thunindhavan, which will revolve around family emotions, romance and action, also has a talented cast featuring names like Doctor fame Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead, followed by Sathyaraj, Saranya Ponvannan, Vinay, Devadarshini Chetan, Ilavarasu, Subbu Panchu, Dhivya Dhuraisamy, 'Master' Cibi, Saran Shakthi, Akash Premkumar and others in important supporting roles.Composer D. Imman, who delivered chart-busters in 'Thala' Ajith's Viswasam is scoring the tunes and background score in Etharkkum Thunindhavan, which is nearing its finish line in production and is expected to come to a wrap in September.
