Actress Regina Cassandra has been seen in notable films in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada film industries and is a popular name among the youth. One of the few actresses who can manage to tap into the glamour quotient while also proving herself to be a performer, Regina has taken up several notable roles where she has excelled as an actor and will next be seen in the horror film, Soorpanagai, under Caarthick Raju's direction.

An Apple Tree Studios venture, Soorpanagai is also being dubbed in Telugu under the title, Nene Naa, and will be coming out in theatres as a summer treat with the makers now releasing the film's first look poster, which has Regina Cassandra in what looks to be in a deity avatar while being immovable around a death trap. Apart from Regina Cassandra, Soorpanagai will include in its cast names like Akshara Gowda and Vennela Kishore in major supporting roles with music being composed by Sam C. S., cinematography by PK Varma and editing by VJ Sabu Joseph. The film's technical team also includes art director Seenu, 'Super' Subbarayan for the stunts, costume design by Jayalakshmi, Sivashankar for the choreography and Karnan taking care of the makeup.
