A film that is turning out to be one of the biggest in terms of production and casting, the 'Thalapathy' Vijay and 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi starrer, Master, being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj has generated tremendous excitement among fans unlike any big project in in recent times. Being produced under the XB Film Creators banner by Vijay's relative, Xavier Britto, the upcoming film touted to be an action thriller will feature music by Anirudh Ravichander and is gearing up for a grand summer release this April.

With production nearing the finish line, director Lokesh Kanagaraj had taken part in Techofes 2020, an annual intercollegiate culture festival at the College of Engineering in Chennai, and had shared interesting details about Master while also giving a couple of updates about the film. Taking to the stage, Lokesh Kanagaraj had gone on to say that the portions featuring Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi together have come out exceptionally well and will be explosive. He then went on to reveal that only two more days of shoot remain after which the film's shooting will be completely wrapped up and the team will dive into full-fledged post-production works. As of now, supporting actors and a few junior artists have already begun dubbing for their portions in Master with the main cast namely Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi yet to begin on theirs. Master includes a huge ensemble cast among whom are Malavika Mohanan playing the female lead alongside Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Andrea Jeremiah, Kaithi villain Arjun Das, Nassar, 96 actress Gouri Kishan, Sanjeev, Srinath, Sriman, Nagendra Prasad, Dheena, Ramya Subramanian, Ramesh Thilak, Prem, Azhagam Perumal, Chetan, Brigada Sagaya, Lintu Rony in major supporting roles.
