Kangana Ranaut, whose latest release, Thalaivii has opened to fairly positive reception from the audience, has officially announced her next film. Kangana will be playing the lead role in a new film titled Sita: The Incarnation and this will be a mythological epic based on Ramayana. Kangana will be seen playing the role of Sita. The film will be directed by Alaukik Desai, who has penned the story and screenplay alongside the legendary writer, KV Vijayendra Prasad. The dialogues will be penned by Manoj Muntashir. The film will be originally made in Hindi, while it will also have a dubbed release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

The announcement of this new project has excited the fans and it has made them look forward to its release. Kangana Ranaut shared the title look poster of Sita on her official Instagram page and wrote, "The Incarnation- Sita Glad to be on board for the title role with this immensely talented team of artists.. With the blessings of Sita Ram … Jai SiyaRam 🙏". Alaukik Desai, who is going to direct the film, took to his official Twitter page to express his happiness on getting this project mounted.

Sharing a picture with Kangana Ranaut, director Alaukik Desai wrote, "SITA AARAMBH Universe does help those who surrender to it with belief. What was a mirage, is now clarity. A dream of a pious character never explored is now a reality. I am ecstatic to bring #KanganaRanaut on board as SITA. Thank you #SSStudio for your immense support". According to reports, Sita was initially offered to Kareena Kapoor, but due to reasons unknown, Kangana has now replaced her.

Kangana Ranaut's latest release, Thalaivii, is currently running in theatres across the country with 50% occupancy.
