Greenland is an upcoming American disaster thriller film, directed by Ric Roman Waugh from a screenplay by Waugh, Chris Sparling and Mitchell LaFortune. It stars Gerard Butler, Morena Baccarin, Scott Glenn, Andrew Bachelor and David Denman. It is scheduled to be released on June 12, 2020, by STX Entertainment. Neill Blomkamp was supposed to direct this flick but he was later kicked out by the production team due to some creative differences. 
 
A family struggles for survival in the face of a cataclysmic natural disaster. That’s what the film talks about. A trailer for the film has now been released by the makers which look so unreal. Why do directors always choose Gerard Butler for disaster films? This trailer reminds us some of his previous films. Chris Evans was initially attached to play the lead role while Neill Blomkamp was to direct the film. Both dropped out due to creative differences.
