Choreographer Ganesh Acharya accused of forcing assistant to watch porn
A complaint has been written to the National Commission for Women (NCW) by a 33-year-old female assistant choreographer against popular Bollywood choreographer Ganesh Acharya alleging he made her watch pornographic videos each time she visited his office in Mumbai. The woman in her complaint has alleged that Ganesh Acharya and his team members, Jayashree Kelkar and Preeti Lad, had physically assaulted her in Mumbai's Andheri region during a function of the Indian Film and Television Choreographers Association (IFTCA) this past Sunday.
The complainant in her letter to the NCW stated Ganesh Acharya forced her to watch adult videos whenever she visited his office while also alleging that the famed choreographer has been demanding commission from her for working in the film industry despite being a member of the IFTCA. In her complaint, she added Ganesh Acharya had shouted at her after she had approached the IFTCA office and told her that she was being suspended.
The woman further added Ganesh Acharya had instructed Jayashree Kelkar to slap her after she had told him that she too is a member of the IFTCA. In a statement, she said, "Kelkar and Preeti Lad hit me in public view which was captured on the CCTV,". A non-cognisable (NC) offence has been registered by the police who are now investigating the case.
