Bigg Boss Kannada season 8, which completed 72 days, had to be called off due to the coronavirus lockdown and will now resume with contestants namely Vaishnavi Gowda, Divya Suresh, Aravind K P,Shamanth, Divya Urudaga, Shubha Poonja, Prashanth Sambargi, Raghu Gowda, Priyanka Thimmesh, Manju Pavagada, Nidhi Subbaiah, and Chakravarthy Chandrachud all set to enter the house once again. The second innings of Bigg Boss Kannada 8 will be a step away from the previous editions across all versions as the contestants this time around are aware of the opinions among the public and their feedback to their actions so far in the house.

According to reports, the show-runners of Bigg Boss 8 have made plans for a five-hour special programme to present the 'second innings' of the reality show. Earlier in May, Parameshwar Gundkal, Cluster Business Head of Colors Kannada, in a detailed statement on Facebook informed fans that the shooting on Bigg Boss Kannada season 8 had to be temporarily put on halt due to the coronavirus lockdown.
