Earlier today (June 11), actor Karthi took his first dose of vaccine for Covid 19 and he took to his official social media pages to share the news. He posted the picture of him getting vaccinated and the picture is now doing good rounds on social media. Sharing the picture, Karthi wrote, "Took my first dose of vaccine. #CovidVaccine". Several leading film personalities including Superstar Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, A.R.Rahman, Keerthy Suresh, and many others got vaccinated and the latest to join the club is Karthi.

With Covid 19 being a constant threat to the livelihood, one of the possible solutions that we have to safeguard ourselves is vaccination and let us get vaccinated as soon as possible. The Central and State Governments are also taking necessary steps to maximize the vaccination.

Karthi was last seen in Sulthan, directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan. The film turned out to be a success at the box office, earning good support from the family audience. Up next, Karthi will be seen playing one of the leads in Mani Ratnam's historical epic drama, Ponniyin Selvan which is being made as a two-part film. Ponniyin Selvan has got huge expectations among the fans and film buffs and it is surely going to be an important film to watch out for.

Karthi will be seen playing the character of 'Vandiyathevan' in Ponniyin Selvan and the film marks his second collaboration with Mani Ratnam after Kaatru Veliyidai. Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Jayaram, are some of the other lead actors who are a part of Ponniyin Selvan.

Karthi is also playing the lead in Sardar, an upcoming action thriller, directed by PS Mithran of Irumbu Thirai and Hero fame. According to reports, Karthi will be seen in dual roles in Sardar and it is touted to showcase the star actor in a different dimension. Produced by Prince Pictures, Sardar has music composed by GV Prakash Kumar. Rajisha Vijayan and Raashi Khanna play the female leads, while Simran will be seen in an important role in the film.
