Leading actress Tamannaah served annadanam to the devotees at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore in the wee hours of Saturday morning, March 9, during the Maha Shivratri festivities. The visuals of the popular star addressing devotees and the general public have now been released by Isha, where the celebrations had gone up to 6 a.m. today morning. The Maha Shivratri festivities at Isha Yoga Centre are being carried out for 30 years and once again saw powerful meditations, chanting of mantras, Maha Yatra of Goddess Linga Bhairavi, including the Adiyogi Divya Darshan in the presence of Sadhguru.
The Honorable Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar, his wife Sudesh Dhankhar, and the Governor of Tamil Nadu R. N. Ravi graced the Maha Shivratri celebrations at Coimbatore where lakhs of people from all walks of life offered their prayers to Lord Shiva. Furthermore, Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Tripura Governor N. Indrasena Reddy, Minister of State in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of India L. Murugan, and Tamil actors Vijay Sethupathi and Santhanam, actresses Tamannaah, Kangana Ranaut among others also took part in the festivities. A number of musical events were organised to keep the devotees engaged both in person and online throughout the night. Renowned playback singer Shankar Mahadevan, Tamil folk singer Mahalingam, Punjabi music artiste Gurdas Maan, Carnatic musician Sandeep Narayanan, Bollywood music artistes Prithvi Gandharv, Rathijit Bhattacharjee, and Paradox (Tanishq Singh) among others also left the devotees enthralled with their spellbinding peformances.
Similarly, Tamannaah too played her part and went the extra mile by serving food to the devotees who had come to offer their prayers to Lord Shiva. Extending her Shiva Ratri wishes to all who had gathered at Isha, Tamannaah went the extra mile and offered annadanam, with the video going viral on social media. In the video released on Sadhguru's X page, Tamannaah is seen wishing the devotees and the general public, while telling them to take part in the celebrations with sweet pongal. An ardent follower of Lord Shiva herself, Tamannaah had earlier made an appearance at last year's Maha Shivaratri festivities at Isha Yogi Centre and was seen dancing at the celebrations.
