Annamalai slams DMK and AIADMK for not fulfilling the demands of the transport department employees - Daily news

Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President K. Annamalai on Monday, April 8, alleged that the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) regimes have not fulfilled the demands of the transport department employees. The Coimbatore MP candidate stated that the two political parties are misleading the employees with false hopes ahead of the upcoming 2024 Indian general election. Annamalai further made an appeal to the DMK government to take steps to fulfil their demands, including the pensioners, while assuring them his party's support.

Annamalai went on to query the DMK govt on their spending for advertisements in crores instead of fulfilling the demands of the transport workers. He further questioned Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin for not keeping the promises he made in 2021 to the employees after the DMK came to power. Annamalai also slammed the BJP's former ally AIADMK stating that they too did not provide any solutions to the transport workers during their 10-year rule adding that they are now putting up an act as if they are voicing their support for the elections up ahead.

Annamalai will be contesting in Coimbatore, a key constituency in Tamil Nadu, and is pitted against Ganapathi P Kumar of the DMK, with the AIADMK nominating Singai Ramachandran.
