'Thalapathy' Vijay's fans have set the countdown clock for the release of the first single track, 'Oru Kutti Kathai'', from the superstar's upcoming film, Master, which will be unveiled tomorrow (February 14) at 5PM as a Valentine's day treat. Being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the upcoming film announced to be a grand summer release in April has music by Anirudh Ravichander for whom it is the second occasion coming on board a Vijay film after the 2014 box office blockbuster, Kaththi.

Earlier today, a short promo for the 'Oru Kutti Kathai' song featuring Anirudh was released by the film's production house, XB Film Creators, in which we see the 'Rockstar' composer teasing fans with the beat that will be featured in the single track. We see the young music director tapping the back of a steel plate using a rock, which raises speculation whether the backdrop of the song sung by Vijay in the film is centered around a jail or college hostel/canteen environment. We have seen on numerous occasions in many films where a plate is brought into the picture for a song in a jail backdrop like 'Othaiyila Nikkiren' in Iraivi and 'Khalbali' in Rang De Basanti or 'Heartiley Battery' from Vijay's Nanban. By now, it is well-known to all that Vijay plays the role of a professor in Master, who also is speculated to be seen spending considerable time in a jail and/or a Juvenile Detention Centre. With such plot elements involved in Master, the 'Oru Kutti Kathai' track, which many are labeling as a full-on fun kutthu number, could be set in either of the backdrops, and is expected to be known when it gets released tomorrow.

Being produced by Vijay's relative Xavier Britto, Master includes 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist and his addition to the project being billed to be an intense action thriller has no doubt been a major highlight ever since the film went on floors in October last year. Malavika Mohanan plays the role of the female lead while the film's supporting cast includes several notable names among whom are Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Kaithi villain Arjun Das, 96 actress Gouri Kishan, VJ Ramya Subramaniam, Brigida, Lintu Rony, Sriman, Prem, Sanjeev, Srinath, Chethan with Sathyan Sooriyan handling the cinematography and Philomin Raj taking care of the editing.
