Leading Telugu superstar Prabhas has been riding the wave post the gargantuan success of his Baahubali films and followed it up with staggering box office results with his Saaho in 2019. The actor has since been announced to be attached to a several biggies that include Radhe Shyam with Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo star Pooja Hegde, the tentatively titled Project K opposite Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone and acting legend Amitabh Bachchan, the mythological venture Adipurush based on the Hindu epic Ramayana and Salaar under KGF films director Prashanth Neel.

Among them, Prabhas's Salaar, which had been announced for a worldwide theatrical release on April 14, 2022, is one of the biggest pan-Indian films currently in development. Touted to be a raw and intense mass action entertainer, the upcoming film has Prabhas cast opposite leading South Indian actress Shruti Haasan, who has now shared a photo of herself with director Prashanth Neel. Posting the picture from the Salaar sets, Shruti Haasan said about Prashanth that she managed to make him smile, which in turn has made her a legend, while also expressing her happiness to be a part of the film. She wrote,"I guess I’m a legend cause I made @prashanthneel smile 😁😂 it’s been so amazing working on #salaar - the best of the best 🌟" Check out the post below:

Being produced under producer Vijay Kiragandur's Hombale Films banner, Salaar is the next to be coming out from the prestigious Kannada banner after their KGF films and was launched by 'Rocking Star' Yash. Outside of Salaar, Shruti Haasan has in her lineup the Tamil film, Laabam, opposite 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi, which incidentally will be late director S. P. Jhananathan's final film as a director and would be a posthumous release.
