Dhanush's first film of 2020, Pattas, had him in dual roles for the second time in his career after the 2016 smash hit, Kodi. Playing the roles of a father and son in Pattas, the action film has been directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar under the Sathya Jyothi Films banner and features chart-buster songs composed by the Vivek-Mervin duo.

Promotions for Pattas have been on point so far with the makers giving plenty of treats before and post the film's theatrical release on January 15. With the film taking a grand opening in theatres, the makers are carrying forward their promotions and have now released back-to-back promos featured primarily on the father character, Thiraviyam Perumal, essayed by Dhanush and Sneha as Kanyakumari.

Pattas came out as an out-and-out commercial action-packed commercial entertainer with Dhanush's hardcore fans having a fun time in theatres. Apart from Dhanush and Sneha, Pattas also has Mehreen Pirzada playing the second female lead with popular Telugu actor, Naveen Chandra as the antagonist followed by Nasser and Munishkanth in major supporting roles.
