There is no doubt that Jiiva is one of the most talented young heroes in Tamil Cinema. However, he is going through a rough patch and would be more than welcome to have a hit to resurrect his standing at the Box Office. After an underwhelming beginning to 2020 with Seeru, Jiiva has a very promising line-up of movies, waiting to hit the screens! One of these is the long-awaited Gypsy, with National Award winning director Raju Murugan. This is the director's third directorial following the highly acclaimed Joker and Cuckoo.

Gypsy was wrapped up and ready for release quite some time ago but ran into some censorship issues and other obstacles! However, the makers of Gypsy - Ambeth Kumar's Olympia Movies, have revealed that the movie is set to see the light of day! Gypsy would be hitting the screens on March 6th! This is great news for Jiiva fans, as there are a lot of expectations on this movie! Natasha Singh plays the female lead in Gypsy, which would mark the Kollywood debut for Mollywood stars Sunny Wayne and Lal Jose.

Santhosh Narayanan has scored the music for Gypsy, which has cinematography by Selvakumar SK and editing by Raymond Derrick Crasta! Reportedly, Jiiva learnt to play the guitar for this movie and also learnt horse riding for his role! There were initial speculations that this movie would be a social drama but recent speculations state that it would be a romantic travel story. Following Gypsy, Jiiva also his maiden Bollywood venture '83, hitting the screens soon. He will be seen playing cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkanth in this Ranveer Singh starrer, which is based on the Indian Cricket Team which won the World Cup, in 1983!
