British actress, model, and media personality Afshan Azad, known best for playing the character Padma Patil in the global blockbuster Harry Potter franchise, has welcomed a baby girl with her husband Nabil Kazi. Taking to social media, Afshan, who starred as one of the Patil twins in the Harry Potter franchise, announced the news of her pregnancy on Monday and wrote in her post, "By the grace of God our princess is finally here! We've been in this ultimate bubble of love and awe of her since she joined us Earth-side last week. God has blessed us with the most perfect, beautiful precious gift, Allah Humma Barik." 

Afshan, who portrayed the highly-popular Ravenclaw member from the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the five Harry Potter films she appeared, further said, "I'll probably be gone for a while to recover and rest and enjoy every single second and moment of this unexplainable feeling but I'm sure I'll be back soon. Earlier, Afshan made the announcement of her pregnancy with a cute post in April this year. The actress, who shot to worldwide popularity after starring in the Harry Potter series, had also voiced her character in the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix game in 2007. Distributed by Warner Bros., the Harry Potter films were based on best-selling author JK Rowling's books and made several names in the franchise household names among whom included principle characters portrayed by Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) and Alan Rickman (Professor Severus Snape). The final film in the franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, released in July 2011 and went on to make more than $1.3 billion in worldwide box office collections.
