American actress Kelly McCreary, best known for her role as Dr. Maggie Pierce on the hit ABC drama series Grey's Anatomy, has announced her pregnancy with her husband Pete Chatmon. The 39-year-old star shared two new photos on Instagram, while penning a lengthy note about becoming a mom next. Posting a picture of herself with a pregnancy test announcing the happy news, including another photo with her husband Pete Chatmon, Kelly shared a detailed note expressing her happiness and excitement about turning mother next. She wrote, "When being late comes right on time… Surprise! WE’RE HAVING A BABY! Pete and I are thrilled to be growing our family, and to share the news with all of you!  Lemme tell you, there’s nothing like finding out by seeing the word spelled out, clear as day, leaving no mystery whatsoever: PREGNANT! Thank you, @Clearblue, for being with us on the journey!" 

Kelly McCreary continued, "As part of this exciting moment, I wanted to help raise awareness for Clearblue partner @marchofdimes and their amazing efforts to raise awareness for Black maternal and infant health. This latest exciting announcement from Kelly comes after she and Pete tied the knot in 2019. The couple had first met on the sets of Grey's Anatomy and shared a common interest in having children. Apart from Grey's Anatomy, Kelly has made appearances on notable TV shows like Emily Owens, M.D., Scandal, Castle, including portraying legendary singer, actress Eartha Kitta in Life, starring Robert Pattinson and Dane DeHaan.
