Eriyum Kannadi is an upcoming action drama directed by Sachin Dev. The film stars Nakkhul and Sunaina in the main lead prominent roles and also marks their third collaboration in the lead roles after Kadhalil Vizhunthen and Maasilamani. Their first association did well at the box office, thanks to the viral track ‘nakka mukka’ composed by Vijay Antony. Though their second film Maasilamani wasn’t a hit, the pair’s chemistry was talked about. After a decade, Nakkhul and Sunaina are coming together for Eriyum Kannadi. Apart from Nakkhul and Sunaina, Eriyum Kannadi also features the likes of Suresh Chandra Menon playing a pivotal role. 
 
Yuvan Shankar Raja has been roped in to score music for the film while lyrics are penned by Vairamuthu and cinematography is handled by Muruganantham. Riyas Mohammed is taking care of the editing department while Akshaya Prithivirajan takes care of costumes. It was earlier speculated that Sachin Dev was replaced by Boomerang director Kannan but that news remained nothing but a rumour.
