Butta Bomma actress Pooja Hegde promises fans to act in Tamil films soon

Actress Pooja Hegde made her acting debut in the 2012 Tamil film, Mugamoodi, starring Jiiva under Myssin's direction with the star then going on to land the role of the female lead in the Bollywood biggie, Mohenjo Daro, opposite Hrithik Roshan in 2016. However, the popular actress then returned to South India after receiving several offers in Telugu cinema among which include films namely Allu Arjun's Duvvada Jagannadham, Jr. NTR's Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, Mahesh Babu's Maharshi and Varun Tej's Gaddalakonda Ganesh. She next has in her lineup films namely Akhil Akkineni's Most Eligible Bachelor and the tentatively titled Prabhas 21, opposite the pan-Indian Baahubali actor, Prabhas.

Pooja Hegde has become a sensation now across South India especially after starring as the heroine in the recently-released Telugu film, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, opposite Allu Arjun, which also had an ensemble cast featuring Tabu, Jayaram, Nivetha Pethuraj, Navdeep among others in vital roles. The Sankranthi release has gone on to become a box office blockbuster with fans lapping up Pooja Hegde's performance and naming her the 'Butta Bomma' girl after the chart-buster song in the film, which has her shaking her feet alongside Allu Arjun to S. Thaman's peppy tune and pulsating beats.

Post the box office success of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Pooja Hegde has also been receiving requests from fans across Tamil Nadu to act in Tamil films once again to which the Butta Bomma actress has now responded on her Twitter page saying, "Been reading all these tweets from fans on wanting to see me in Tamil cinema. I am so pleasantly surprised and touched to see this love. I promise you I am working on it. Just wanted to do a script that excites me, hence the delay/gap but you will c me soon. LOVE YOU."
