Now, the BMW Group's Indian operations have come forward and pledged Rs. 3 Crores to help in the fight against the COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus Pandemic. The BMW Group India has associated with Government Organizations as well NGOs to implement the on-ground activities in the Chennai and Delhi-NCR regions! All the employees of BMW Group India, BMW Group Plant Chennai and BMW India Financial Services have voluntarily contributed to this cause. BMW Group India's President and CEO Rudratej Singh has elaborated on the efforts being undertaken in this regard.

He has mentioned that the BMW Group has a strong culture and value system which has stood the test of time and that the resolve and commitment of their employees and dealer partners across the country to fight this unprecedented threat to mankind, remains strong and undeterred! Near the BMW Chennai plant in Chengalpattu, the company is participating in the creation of an isolation ward for patients at the Government General Hospital. Critical care equipments and services would be provided for hospitals in Chennai and Delhi-NCR and Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) would be provided for the frontline healthcare workers in these regions. The company is also looking at providing nutrition for the economically marginalised families around their plant in Chennai and Delhi-NCR, as part of this initiative.
