Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn's brother and director Anil Devgan passed away on October 5 and his demise has taken the entire Indian film industry by deep shock. The exact details regarding the cause of his death is yet to be known, but it is said that he died due to a few health complications. We have been losing a lot of notable talents from the film industry this year and director Anil Devgan is the latest. Ajay Devgn took to his Twitter page to share this news with his followers and friends. Sharing the news of his brother's demise, Ajay Devgn said that his family has decided not to have any prayer meet because of the ongoing pandemic.

Ajay Devgn's tweet read, "I lost my brother Anil Devgan last night. His untimely demise has left our family heartbroken. ADFF & I will miss his presence dearly. Pray for his soul. Due to the pandemic, we will not have a personal prayer meet". Leading personalities and icons from the film industry have been sharing their condolence messages on social media. Valimai producer Boney Kapoor replied to Ajay Devgn, saying, "My heartfelt deepest condolences to you and your family. May his Soul rest in peace. Om Shanti ".

Anil Devgan started out his film career by working as an assistant director in Ajay Devgn's films like Jeet, Jaan, Itihaas, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, and Hindustan Ki Kasam. Anil made his silverscreen debut as a director with Ajay Devgn - Kajol starrer Raju Chacha. Later, he made films like Blackmail and Haal-e-dil.
