National Award-winning Tamil actor Suriya's next big film is the highly-anticipated Kanguva being directed by blockbuster filmmaker Siva of Viswasam and Annaatthe fame. The action fantasy drama being produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja's Studio Green banner in association with Vamsi-Pramod's UV Creations is currently one of the biggest and most-awaited ventures in recent times and the buzz surrounding the film skyrocketed to new heights after the release of an electrifying glimpse and a fiery first look back in July. With Kanguva still in production, Rajsekar Pandian, Suriya's manager and the CEO and Director of 2D Entertainment Pvt Ltd, took to X on Saturday evening, August 19, to drop a picture of the actor hitting the gym and putting in all the hard work to attain the look for his upcoming challenging role. 

The monochrome picture posted by Rajsekar Pandian shows Suriya assessing his physique, with fans conveying their wishes to the actor for his perseverance, determination, and hard work for his role in Kanguva. This latest photo has come a few months after the actor was seen at the gym in preparation for his role in the Siva directorial, which too had gone viral at the time leaving fans excited. Suriya's efforts at the gym are surely visible as the Kanguva glimpse showed him in an all-new action avatar in which he was also seen flexing his muscles during a few intense sequences. 

Kanguva is scheduled to open in cinemas in early 2024 and the release date is expected to be announced once the production comes to a wrap in the months ahead. The film will see Suriya sharing screen space with Bollywood sensation Disha Patani, who is making her Tamil cinema debut, while Sathuranga Vettai and Karnan fame Natarajan 'Natty' Subramanian and Yogi Babu will be seen in key roles. Kanguva is set to come out in the 3D format in 10 languages and includes music being composed by Devi Sri Prasad, who is collaborating with Suriya for the fifth time after Maayavi (2005), Aaru (2005), Singam (2010) and Singam 2 (2013).
