Leading Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan's Ayalaan teaser was released on Friday evening, October 6, amidst massive hype and has won the hearts of Tamil cinema fans, who have been expressing their delight on social media after witnessing new visuals from the film. The big-budget science-fiction film, which was announced in 2016 and rolled into production in 2018 before wrapping up filming in 2021, has been directed by R. Ravikumar of Indru Netru Naalai and features music by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman, with the first single track 'Vera Level' turning out to be a chart-topping hit.

During the Ayalaan teaser launch event held in Chennai yesterday, Sivakarthikeyan took to the stage and went on to reveal his plans for a new film with R. Ravikumar. The Maaveeran actor confirmed that he and the Indru Netru Naalai director will be reuniting for a new project soon. Although no further details were revealed about his next project with Ravikumar, Sivakarthikeyan expressed his joy at joining hands with the filmmaker while also going on to recollect the first time they interacted over a phone call for Ayalaan. SK recalled how he thought Ravikumar would introduce himself in English over the phone while imitating the filmmaker's native slang, thus leaving the audience in splits.

As Ayalaan gears up for a theatrical release in January 2024 as a grand Pongal treat, fans will be looking to witness Sivakarthikeyan in action on the big screen alongside an alien character. The highly ambitious film also stars Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead, with the ensemble cast featuring the likes of Karunakaran, Yogi Babu, Sharad Kelkar, Isha Koppikar, David Broughton-Davies, Banupriya, among others. Ayalaan is carrying massive hype considering it is also the first full-length live-action film to feature more than 4500+ VFX shots and also includes the highest number of CGI shots for a pan-Indian venture.
