It's official - 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and featuring music composed by Anirudh Ravichander will have a runtime of 2 hours 43 minutes and 12 seconds, a new official announcement on Saturday, October 7, has revealed. The upcoming film's first half will have a duration of 1 hour 13 minutes and 9 Seconds, while the second half stands at 1 hour 30 minutes and 3 seconds, a popular distributor in the United Kingdom has revealed in their latest announcement in their latest update about the overseas censor content being delivered.

This latest announcement about Leo's runtime will no doubt come as happy news for Vijay's fans everywhere considering this total duration is ideal for any commercial potboiler. Although Lokesh Kanagaraj's last two blockbuster films, Master (2021) and Vikram (2022), had a runtime nearing close to the three-hour mark, the total duration of the Vijay-starrer shows the filmmaker has packaged in a tight and gripping story yet again. It is to be noted that Leo has already shattered the day 1 record for Tamil films in advance ticket sales in the UK. The Vijay-starrer has sold more than 43,500 tickets already, with a new UK all-time Indian record also likely to happen next.

The expectations and the hype for Leo have skyrocketed after the release of the film's high-octane trailer earlier this week giving audiences a glimpse into the massive action awaiting them in cinemas starting October 19. The film has Vijay and Trisha paired up after a gap of 15 years and the popular duo are expected to once again recreate the magic from the 2000s when they ruled the Tamil cinema screens in films Ghilli (2004), Thirupaachi (2005), Aathi (2006), and Kuruvi (2008). Releasing in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi languages, Leo also stars Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt, 'Action King' Arjun, filmmaker-actors Gautham Vasudev Menon and Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Sandy master, Mathew Thomas, among others in key roles.
