'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo is the talk of the town as tickets have been selling like hotcakes in advance bookings around the world ahead of its release in theatres on October 19. The upcoming mass action drama directed by blockbuster Tamil filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj and featuring music composed by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander has already registered several records, with the popular theatre complex Mayajaal in Chennai now declaring that the film will be getting the highest number of shows in their multiplex. The official X (formerly Twitter) account of Mayajaal has informed fans that Leo has secured a total of 80 shows in their multiplex across their 16 screens, which has no doubt come as a 'Bloody Sweet' announcement as there continues to be a huge demand for tickets among Vijay's fans in the city.

Earlier on Tuesday evening, Mayajaal dropped the big Leo update stating that nearly 15,000 users were trying to book tickets on their multiplex's website. Their post read, "We truly appreciate your enthusiasm and eagerness to book tickets! However, our website is currently experiencing high traffic with 15,000 users trying to book every second. We'll be adding more shows shortly. Thank you for your understanding and patience. We're proud to be India's largest multiplex with 16 screens under one roof and 80 shows per day is the highest number of shows in a single multiplex in India for LEO." (sic)

The craze for Leo has been unlike any other in recent times for a Vijay-starrer as there have been massive expectations surrounding the film even before it went on floors earlier this year. The highly-anticipated film will see Vijay sharing screen space with Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Sandy master, Mathew Thomas, among others, who will be seen making appearances in key roles. There is particular interest for Leo and whether it will also be a part of the exciting Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), which was first coined after the events of Karthi's Kaithi (2019) were referenced in Kamal Haasan's Vikram (2022), and fans will no doubt be waiting with bated breath to see if the incidents in the Vijay-starrer will be connected with the previous two Lokesh Kanagaraj directorials.
