Acclaimed Hindi filmmaker-actor Anurag Kashyap's latest big screen appearance in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo under Lokesh Kanagaraj's direction is the talk of the town. With the mass action drama released in theatres worldwide on October 19 and taking a stunning opening everywhere, the hit Bollywood director recently took part in an exclusive interview with Galatta to talk about his role alongside Vijay, while also opening up on his death scene in the film, which has created quite a buzz among fans on social media. Speaking about how he was cast in Vijay's Leo, Anurag Kashyap said, "I was there in Chennai for a conference and I told an interviewer that I wanted to do a death scene in Lokesh Kanagaraj's film. And, I think he saw the interview and called me. He asked me, "Did you say it as a joke?" I said, "No, not at all. I mean it." I just wanted to do a small death scene. So, he said, "We have a small death scene", and called me for it."

Talking further about Leo, Anurag Kashyap said, "They were so nice. They prioritized me. They finished everything in three hours. When I came in, they just focused on my shoot and I left. It was so nice. Because I was shooting for [Vijay Sethupathi's] Maharaja. That's why you'll see a proper role in Maharaja, but this is something I really wanted to do. I've done this before as well. If you see Kuttey, I've done a death scene in that also. I like to do death scenes in the films or for the filmmakers I like." Anurag also opened up on the short duration of his part in Leo saying, "That's exactly how much the role was. Nothing was edited [out]. They treated me so well. All of them. Joseph Vijay, Lokesh, and his whole team. And, I think Mysskin sir was also there. Madonna [Sebastian] was there. Everybody was there [on] that day. They treated me very well."
