Arulnithi's Kazhuvethi Moorkkan is gearing up for a big release and will showcase the actor amidst a rural backdrop after a long time. Scheduled to hit screens on May 26, the upcoming rural action drama has been directed by the 2019 Jyotika-starrer Raatchasi fame SY Gowthamraj under producer S. Ambeth Kumar's Olympia Movies banner and will be released in Tamil Nadu by the prestigious Red Giant Movies. With the release date just around the corner, the much-awaited Kazhuvethi Moorkkan trailer has now been released and gives us an extended glimpse at the action that awaits audiences in theatres after an intense teaser had come out sometime back.
The Kazhuvethi Moorkkan trailer starts off introducing Arulnithi as a man whose actions speak louder than words and is one who raises his voice against those who cause oppression in the name of caste. The visuals throughout show a narrative centered around caste discrimination and the politics surrounding it in Tamil Nadu. We also see Dushara Vijayan appearing as the female lead and as Arulnithi's lover and the scenes between them are teased to be fun and romantic. With plenty of action loaded and effective dialogue in the trailer, we can expect Kazhuvethi Moorkkan to be a film to make us think about the sad state of affairs in the name of caste. The film also stars Santhosh Prathap, Saya Devi, Munishkanth, Sarathlokith Sava, Rajasimman, Yaar Kannan among others in pivotal roles, while chart-topping music director D. Imman has composed the songs and the background score.
Kazhuvethi Moorkkan is Arulnithi's second film of 2023 after his Thiruvin Kural was released a while back and the actor will be looking to hit the bullseye this time. The film is also producer Ambeth Kumar's second big release of the year after he came out on top with the Kavin and Aparna Das-starrer Dada, and he will surely be looking to taste a similar victory once again. Red Giant Movies too will want Kazhuvethi Moorkkan to become a hit considering the films they released this year which include Ajith Kumar's Thunivu, Kavin's Dada, Vetri Maaran's Viduthalai: Part 1, and more recently Mani Ratnam's epic blockbuster Ponniyin Selvan: 2 have all turned out to be money-spinners at the box office.
