Tamil actor Siddharth dropped an update from the highly-anticipated 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan film, Indian 2, revealing that a song shoot is taking place next. Taking to his Instagram Story on Tuesday evening, the Chithha actor informed that a massive dance song will be shot today in the Shankar directorial, while also sharing a performance video of an international artiste revealing that he is his inspiration for dancing. Siddharth's latest statement comes after pictures from the Indian 2 sets popped up on social media earlier this week showing graffiti of Kamal Haasan as Senapathy on tall buildings, while giving fans yet another hint at the grandeur in the film.

The production on Indian 2 is progressing at a steady pace and the entire shooting is expected to come to a wrap soon. Although no release date has been announced yet for the upcoming Kamal Haasan-starrer, social media has been abuzz with speculations that the film will be out as a grand theatrical experience for this summer. A glimpse of Indian 2 introducing Kamal Haasan once again as Senapathy with the core theme of the film centered around corruption was released last year ahead of the Tamil superstar's birthday, which went on to receive a tremendous response.

Indian 2 is the sequel to Indian (1996) and will see Kamal Haasan reprise his role as Senapathy alongside Siddharth who is reportedly playing a journalist. The film is a multi-starrer and also has Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, S J Suryah, Bobby Simha, Delhi Ganesh, Samuthirakani, Brahmanandam, Gulshan Grover making appearances, while late actors Nedumudi Venu, Vivek, Manobala, and G. Marimuthu are featured in the ensemble cast. 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander is composing the songs and the background score in Indian 2 and is expected to come out firing on all cylinders akin to his work in Kamal Haasan's Vikram (2023).
