Dulquer salmaan addresses role in suriya new movie during king of kotha chennai promotions - Tamil Movie Cinema News

Leading Malayalam actor-producer Dulquer Salmaan's highly-anticipated action thriller film, King of Kotha, is scheduled for a grand worldwide theatrical release on August 24 ahead of the Onam festivities. Produced under the actor's Wayfarer Films banner in association with Zee Studios, the buzz for the upcoming Malayalam film also releasing in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi languages has been huge, with massive promotions already underway. With the promotions for King of Kotha reaching Chennai on Friday, August 18, Dulquer took part in the big event in the city where he spoke about the period gangster film, which was shot extensively in places like Karaikudi, Rameswaram, and Ramanathapuram in Tamil Nadu.

During the King of Kotha Chennai promotions, Dulquer was also queried about who he considers to be his favorite actor apart from his father, the iconic Mammootty. The Malayalam heart-throb went on to reveal that he likes Suriya in Tamil while adding that he has been a fan of the National Award-winning Tamil actor for a long time. The Sita Ramam star further stated that he admires Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan a lot mentioning that it's difficult to name a single actor as his favorite and is the reason why he chooses his dad's name as a safe bet. Upon being asked whether he and Suriya were joining hands for a film together, the Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal actor responded by saying he too had heard the same before shifting the conversation once again to King of Kotha. Considering there was no direct confirmation nor any denial from Dulquer, fans continue to wonder whether he will be sharing screen space with Suriya in the future as there were reports a few days back stating that he would possibly be appearing alongside the Kanguva actor in the tentatively titled Suriya 43 under Soorarai Pottru fame Sudha Kongara's direction.

Dulquer Salmaan is already a popular name among Tamil cinema audiences after starring in films like Vaayai Moodi Pesavum (2014), O Kadhal Kanmani (2015), and Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal (2020), and fans will no doubt keeping a close watch on the developments in regard to whether he will be seen alongside Suriya in a new film.
