Leading actress Nayanthara's landmark 75th film has been carrying tremendous expectations ever since it rolled into production in April this year. The upcoming film was launched under the tentative title, Lady Superstar 75, under debutant filmmaker Nilesh Krishnaa's direction, and is currently in the post-production stages. Gearing up for a grand theatrical release soon, there has been quite a lot of buzz surrounding the Lady Superstar 75 title, which has now been announced as Annapoorani in a special glimpse video, with the tagline revealed as 'The Goddess of Food'.
The teaser for Annapoorani or Lady Superstar 75 starts off by showing an aerial view of Srirangam in Tamil Nadu, with the focus then shifting to a Brahmin household in the temple town. We then see actor Achyuth Kumar praying with a lot of devotion as Renuka makes her way into the room of a young college student, who is revealed to be none other than Nayanthara. The Annapoorani teaser then shows Nayanthara studying her business logistics and supply chain management subject until it's revealed that she's actually reading about the preparation of chicken kebab from a non-veg recipe book. This detail no doubt comes as a big surprise towards the end showing us how Annapoorani will primarily revolve around a Brahmin girl's interest and passion for non-vegetarian cuisine.
Apart from Achyuth Kumar and Renuka, Nayanthara will also share screen space in Annapoorani with Jai and Sathyaraj once again in the same film after their blockbuster Raja Rani (2013), while the supporting cast also includes Redin Kingsly, Kumari Sachu, Karthik Kumar, Bigg Boss stars Suresh Chakkaravarthy and Poornima Ravi, among others, and will feature music composed by blockbuster composer Thaman. S, who will be looking to carry forward the momentum from his work in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Varisu earlier this year.
