Director Vinayan predicts downslide of Mollywood superstars
Director Vinayan said Malayalam superstars' fortunes�have started to go downhill and they will lose their star status in an year. The director was speaking at�release of his film�Yakshiyum Njanum. The director is at loggerheads with leading actors in the Malayalam film industry over creating a rival�association.
Vinayan headed the Malayalam Cine Technicians' Association (MACTA).�The superstars of the Malayalam film industry, along with some directors, split from the Association and floated a new association titled�Film Employees' Federation of Kerala (FEFKA). This�weakened the hold of MACTA over the Malayalam film industry. Director Vinayan has adopted a strategy of making films with new faces and technicians to challenge the fame of superstars, who he alleges are�creating problems and hurdles for his movies.
