The Transporter star has rejected the offer to play an important role in the sixth installment of the Fast and The Furious series.

In October last year, reports suggested that Universal Pictures was looking to shoot the sixth and the seventh installment of the Fast And The Furious in Europe and that they had approached Jason Statham to join the franchise to perform an important role. Since then things have been doing well for Universal, until Statham turned down the offer. Now they will be moving along without Statham.

The movie Fast Six will see Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel reprising there roles from the earlier venture, Fast Five. Dwayne Johnson recently revealed that Fast Six will not be shot simultaneously with Fast Seven as expected earlier. Both films will be shot separately in the UK and Germany. Dwayne said that he loved the Fast Five experience and he is excited to shoot the Fast Six and Fast Seven. The shooting of Fast Six is likely to begin next month.
