India's largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India Limited on Friday in a press release reported zero monthly sales in the domestic market in April and is the first time ever in the history of the company, which includes sales to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). Maruti has stated that this was in compliance with Government orders that all production facilities be closed during the lockdown period to stop the spread of the coronavirus across the country. The company has also stated that all guidelines were followed during the shipment of 632 units from the Mundra port in the Gulf of Kutch in Gujarat upon the resumption of port operations.

Operations at Maruti Suzuki were brought to a halt on March 22 after Prime Minister Narendra Modi had ordered for a nationwide lockdown starting on March 25 till April 14, which eventually got extended to May 3. The Gurugram district administration had authorized the auto giant last month to restart its Manesar plant on a single shift basis while fixing the total number of employees at 4,946. A decision was then formed to resume operations once continuous production and sale of vehicle units was going to be maintained. MSI Chairman RC Bhargava in a statement said, "We will start operations whenever we can maintain continuous production and sell it (vehicles), which is not possible at this point of time."

The Tamil Nadu Health Minister C. Vijayabaskar issued a statement on Saturday regarding the number of new coronavirus positive cases saying 49 people have been identified to have contracted the disease over the past 24 hours. Overall, the state's total recorded positive cases count is currently standing at 1,372 with 82 people recovering and getting discharged, which is a big improvement yet again after Friday. The total number of recovered/discharged/migrated cases in TN is at 365 after 103 people were sent home yesterday. Another major reason to feel relieved is that there have been no deaths reported over the past two days and is a major positive sign in the battle against the COVID-19 virus.

The Government of Tamil Nadu has conducted more than 5000 tests on Saturday alone, which has led to the identification of 49 new positive cases. So far, the TN government has carried out over 35,000 tests with the process expected to take speed in the days ahead with Minister C. Vijayabaskar adding four people are under intensive care with appropriate treatment being administered. He further added saying three more testing labs approved by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) in Delhi taking the total to 31 laboratories. Vijayabaskar stated that TN currently is the leading state in the number of patients recovering from the virus and being sent for home quarantine. 

The number of people testing positive for the coronavirus around the world has only been increasing with the passage of each day. As the global count for positive cases has topped two million with over 1 lakh declared dead and 5 lakh people having recovered from the dreaded disease, the numbers in India too have seen a significant rise over the past few days. So far, 12,380 positive cases for the COVID-19 virus have been recorded in India while 414 people succumbed to the fatal disease and 1,489 managed to recover, get discharged or migrated with appropriate treatment.

Among the cases in India, Chennai in Tamil Nadu has been declared to be the number one hotspot as the total number of people affected by the coronavirus disease in the city stands at 214 as on Thursday (16.04.2020) at 10AM. In a zone wise breakup of COVID-19 positive cases in Chennai, the Chennai Corporation has now released a list showing the areas in the city affected by the virus.

Among the 15 zones, Ambattur and Manali have recorded zero positive cases to date with Royapuram showing the most number of affected numbering at 64 people. As for the other 12 zones, Thiru-Vi-Ka Nagar has recorded 30 positive cases followed by Kodambakkam with 24, Anna Nagar with 22, Tondiarpet with 19, Teynampet with 16, Adyar and Perungudi with 7 each, Valasaravakkam with 5, Thiruvottriyur with 4, Alandur and Madhavaram with 3 and Sholinganallur with 2 while a total of 4 other cases cross notified to other districts.

Tamil Nadu's total stands at 1,242 people confirmed to have been affected by the coronavirus disease's symptoms while the death toll has risen to 14 and the recovered, discharged or migrated stands at 118. The state saw 38 fresh cases being recorded on Wednesday for the second consecutive day after Tuesday and are the lowest numbers for people affected by the disease considering the previous low was on April 8 when 48 people tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.

This big budget film is set in the 1900s and the characters of Ram Charan and Jr NTR are based on Alluri Sitaramaraju and Komaram Bheem.

With the hit reality TV show going on to become a massive success in Hindi, it was only a matter of time that it would be made in other regional languages including Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. The third season of Bigg Boss in Telugu too is soon going to be telecast with Akkineni Nagarjuna rumored to be the host for the third season with an official statement expected to made in the days ahead.  Zero showcases Shah Rukh Khan as the vertically challenged Bauua, Anushka Sharma as Aafia, a girl who is a scientist living with cerebral palsy and Katrina Kaif as a Bollywood Superstar named Babita Kumari. In all the hype regarding the release of Shah Rukh Khan's Zero. There's another news making rounds that the Shah Rukh Khan starrer will be recreating the chartbuster ‘Kali Kali Aankhein’ from Baazigar for the upcoming film. After treating the fans with three songs-  ‘Mere Naam Tu’,  ‘Issaqbaazi’, and Husn Parcham’, the makers are all set to unveil the next song which is a recreated version of Shah Rukh Khan’s all-time chartbuster ‘Kali Kali Aankhein’.

The Shah Rukh Khan starrer zero is nearing completion. The film is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated releases this year. As the film is on the last stage before all the work is completed, reports state that fire broke on the sets of the film. The cast and crew are on the last leg of finishing the project. As per further reports  Shahrukh Khan was on the set at the time of the incident. Fire engines were rushed to Mumbai Film City to control the fire on the sets. As of now, no casualties have been reported. 

The fire was confined to electric wiring and installation, shooting material, ropes, and curtains. The trailer of Zero released earlier this month on Shah Rukh Khan's birthday and it was an instant hit on social media. The film is set to release on December 21.

Shah Rukh Khan is doing his best to ensure Zero is the best box office success this year. The posters and trailer have left all fans anticipating the release of the film. The team recently released the track Mere Naam Tu and the song has been on top of the charts and left all fans to fall in love with Shah Rukh Khan all over again.

Latest reports state that SRK has planned another surprise element in the film which will relate to Late actor Sridevi. Sridevi apparently shot the song along with Srk, Alia Bhat and Karishma Kapoor. However, Shah Rukh Khan does not want to Unveil the song until the release of the film but wants fans to watch it directly on the big screen.

Zero marks Sridevi's last big screen appearance. The film is all set to roll out to screen on December 21 and features Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in leading roles.
