Actress Nayanthara is currently attached to several projects among which her much-awaited devotional comedy film, Mookuthi Amman, directed by RJ Balaji and NJ Saravanan is premiering on November 14 as a Diwali treat. Likewise, the first look poster for Nayanthara's next biggie, Netrikann, was unveiled a few days back to a stellar feedback from fans. The upcoming film billed to be an intense action thriller is also director Vignesh Shivn's debut as a producer under his Rowdy Pictures banner and has been directed by Milind Rau of Aval fame. 

Post the Netrikann first look, the team has now released a special birthday poster on Sunday for actor Ajmal Ameer, who plays an important role in the film. Ajmal, who has made heads turns with his power-packed performances in Tamil films like Anjathe, TN 07 AL 4777, Ko and Iravukku Aayiram Kangal to name a few, is set to have a role crucial in Netrikann. Sending his birthday wishes to Ajmal, Vignesh Shivn tweeted, "Wishing the multifaceted, talented actor @ActorAjmalAmir a very happy birthday happy associating with U bro, God Bless."

Netrikann is Nayanthara's 65 venture in her illustrious career, with the film also including a strong technical crew among whom are composer Girishh for the music, followed by RD Rajasekhar for the cinematography, editing by Lawrence Kishore, Dhilip Subbarayan for the stunts, and S Kamalanathan for the art direction. Although nothing has been confirmed as yet, there is a strong speculation that Nayanthara is playing the role of a visually-challenged person, with fans expecting yet another top-class performance from the 'Lady Superstar'. 

As for Nayanthara's other projects, she also has a crucial role in 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's next film, Annaatthe, being directed by Siva under the Sun Pictures banner. Reports state the actress will be playing the role of a lawyer and is the second time she is collaborating with director Siva after last year's blockbuster Viswasam, which had 'Thala' Ajith in the lead role. Nayanthara will be also seen in Vignesh Shivn's next directorial, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, also starring 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha Akkineni. Produced by Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studios in association with Vignesh Shivn's Rowdy Pictures, this romantic comedy entertainer will include music by Anirudh Ravichander. It is to be noted that Nayanthara had only sometime back signed her next film in Malayalam with Kunchacko Boban. Titled Nizhal, the film is a thriller with production currently ongoing in Kerala.

Director Vignesh Shivn and Sivakarthikeyan were announced to do a film together (tentatively called SK 17), but unfortunately, the film didn’t take off as planned. After months of wait and perseverance, the film still didn’t find any progress and as a result, director Vignesh Shivn has now moved on to another new project. Yes, according to the latest updates that we hear from our sources, Vignesh Shivn has started the preparatory works for his next, which happens to be the already announced Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal.

Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi will be playing the male lead in this film, while Nayanthara will be seen as one of the two female leads. Both, Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara have their dates full for the next few months and hence the team is said to be sorting that out now. Once that is sorted out, the film’s shooting schedules will be planned. It is said that the team is planning to start the film’s shooting from May. Interestingly, it can be recalled that Vignesh Shivn met Vijay Sethupathi a few days back at the sets of Tughlaq Durbar for the Naanum Rowdy Dhaan actor’s birthday.

But, what we hear is that the duo met and discussed about starting Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal very soon. When the project was announced a few years back, it was said that Trisha will be seen as the other female lead, but looking at the current situation, it looks unlikely. Trisha will soon start shooting for Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus, Ponniyin Selvan and she also has ‘Chiru 152’ in her kitty. We are exclusively told that Vignesh Shivn and his team are looking out for the other female lead and we will get more clarity about it in the coming days.

This new film will be produced by Lalit Kumar under the banner of Seven Screen Studio. Lalit Kumar is the co-producer of Thalapathy Vijay’s ongoing film, Master and is also the producer of films like Vijay Sethupathi’s Tughlaq Durbar and Chiyaan Vikram’s Cobra. Without any second thoughts, we can be sure that this film will have music scored by Anirudh Ravichander. Well, doesn’t it sound exciting? Sivakarthikeyan is a busy man indeed. Yes, the much sought after actor recently wrapped shooting for Hero, directed by P.S.Mithran, and with no big breaks, he will move on to his next, Doctor, directed by Nelson of Kolamaavu Kokila fame. This action comedy drama was officially announced yesterday (December 2) and it has got the fans excited. The film which has music by Anirudh Ravichander will go on floors from December 6 in Chennai. The film will be produced by Sivakarthikeyan Productions, in association with KJR Studios.

Doctor will be KJR Studios' second collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan after Hero and it definitely shows their positive relationship. Now, it looks like the duo might join hands for a few more films as well. A little birdie in the industry has hinted us that Sivakarthikeyan's untitled next with director Vignesh Shivn  (SK 17) might likely be bankrolled by KJR Studios. The talks are reportedly said to be on and the collaboration could possibly happen if things fall into place. It can be noted that Lyca Productions was supposed to fund this romantic comedy film.

As widely speculated and reported by us as well, Lyca have apparently backed out of the film for reasons unknown. We will have to wait for few more days to know if KJR Studios will produce SK - Vignesh Shivn film. Meanwhile, we are also informed that Sivakarthikeyan's untitled sci-fi thriller with director Ravikumar of Indru Netru Naalai fame is likely to be taken over by KJR Studios. This magnum opus film has been in production for quite a long time due to financial issues. 

Lady Superstar Nayanthara seems to be having a gala time. Nayan and her director beau Vignesh Shivn recently took off to the USA, where they rung in the grogeous beauty's birthday. Following this, they have been on an extended vacation in the States and were even seen catching up with producer Boney Kapoor and his daughter Jhanvi and Khushi. The couple had dinner with Boney Kapoor's family and this set off rumours of Nayan being roped in to play the female lead in Boney's upcoming movie - Valimai, which has Thala Ajith in the lead. However, no official confirmation regarding this has come out.

Meanwhile, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivn also recently celebrated the Thanksgiving festival in the USA with their close friends and a video as well as photos of this event are going viral on the internet! The lovely couple seem to be having a gala time bonding with their friends and these pics are being widely circulated. After completing her work for Superstat Rajinikanth's Darbar, which is scheduled to release on January 9th 2020, Nayanthara has moved on to her next. This project, titled Netrikann, is the maiden production venture of Vignesh Shivn's new production house - Rowdy Pictures. Netrikann is being directed by Milind Rau, of Aval fame.

Vignesh Shivn has recently completed shooting for his part of the Netflix Originals anthology, which is to also reportedly have projects from Gautham Menon, Vettrimaaran and Sudha Kongara. He is gearing up for beginning work on his next project with Sivakarthikeyan in the lead. This movie, is to be bankrolled by Lyca Productions but recently there have been rumours of the banner moving away from this project. Nayanthara's next movie - Mookkuthi Amman, recently went on floors. This project is being co-directed by RJ Balaji.

It is common knowledge that Lady Superstar Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivn are a couple. The two came together for their first project in 2015 for the movie Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, which Vignesh Shivn directed and had Nayanthara as the female lead, opposite Vijay Sethupathi. We had recently reported that Vignesh Shivn was turning producer with a new project that was to star Nayanthara. This has now been officially announced by Vignesh Shivn himself. In his latest Instagram post, he has revealed that he would be producing a movie titled Netrikann, with Nayanthara in the lead.

The post also reveals that Netrikann will be directed by Milind Rau, who had earlier directed Siddharth and Andrea in the super hit thriller Aval, which was also released in Hindi as The House Next Door and Gruham, in Telugu. Milind Rau is a former assistant of ace director Mani Ratnam. Vignesh Shivn's production house has been named Rowdy Pictures and Netrikann will be their maiden production venture. Also, Vignesh Shivn's manager KS Mayilvaganan will be associated in this project as Co-Producer. Girishh will be taking care of the music for Netrikann, while Karthik Ganesh is handling the cinematography and Lawrence Kishore is in charge of the editing.

Vignesh Shivn has just finished shooting for his directorial portion of an upcoming Netflix original anthology movie, which is as yet untitled. This movie will have Anjali in the lead and Kalki Koechlin will also be seen in an important role in this project. As yet, no male lead has been announced for Netrikann, which is said to be a thriller. Stay tuned for further updates.

Nayanthara's upcoming venture titled Kolaiyuthir Kaalam officially launched the film's trailer earlier yesterday, 23rd March which has been spinning viral on social media. The team also had a small trailer launch went which was conducted in Chennai and senior actor Radha Ravi's degrading comments about Nayanthara made in the press meet has become a huge controversy now.



Radha Ravi stated that "Nayanthara sustains in industry till today despite everything that happened in her personal life. People of Tamilnadu will forget everything easily cause, Nayanthara can do the role of a ghost and she can even do the role of Seetha. In my day's makers will cast only K.R Vijaya or other very dignified Women with a respectable social standing to play such religious roles but today anyone can do those roles irrespective of their character.”

Meanwhile, it has now been announced that Anirudh's upcoming second Telugu film, Jersey, starring Nani and Shraddha Srinath in lead roles will see Vignesh Shivn penning lyrics for the Tamil version. Vignesh Shivn and Nayantara have been the happening couple in Kollywood in recent times as every picture of them becomes viral on social media whenever Vignesh Shivn posts them on his Instagram. The pair never failed to awestruck us with their unparalleled love for each other. 

In an exclusive interview with Galatta, Vignesh Shivn opened up about Nayantara and also about their marriage plans.

Vignesh Shivn opened about Nayantara for the first time and said, “I am very happy and proud to know such a person. Even as a person she is an inspiring character. As a woman, the things she went through, the sadness and she knows how to balance those things and what she needs to work towards. I doubt that anyone would have such confidence. She is a very strong human being. I respect her a lot”

Speaking about his experience working with Nayantara in Naanum Rowdy Dhaa’, Vignesh Shivn said, “My confidence was really low as I was directing after a four-year break. I was hesitant to ask for a correction or a retake as she was a big artist. Then Nayantara called me and said, ‘You are the director here. If you ask me to stand upside down, I will do it That is my job so if you hesitate to tell me the corrections it is a minus for me only so if you need a retake or any other correction you can tell me boldly because it is my job to sit here and act until you say. So don't think too much and work freely’ I was so relaxed after that.”

When asked about their marriage, Vignesh Shivn said, “I don’t know. If I know I will tell you, Should ask Nayantara first. I will tell about my marriage after asking my mom”
