We are just three days away from witnessing the beginning of Bigg Boss Ultimate, the new season of the widely popular game show. The makers have been revealing the contestants of the show on a daily basis beginning from the start of this week. Snehan, Julie, Vanitha Vijayakumar, and Suresh Chakravarthy are the four contestants who have been announced so far. To spice up the occasion, the makers have now announced the addition of one more contestant and the update has come as a delight for the fans. Abhirami Venkatachalam who took part in the third season of Bigg Boss Tamil will take part in the upcoming Bigg Boss Ultimate and she will be looking forward to playing a different game this time.

Abhirami is the fifth contestant of Bigg Boss Ultimate and more names are expected to be revealed in the next two days. Abhirami's moments with Kavin, Mugen, and Vanitha garnered wide attention among the fans during the telecast of the third season and let us see what she has in store for Bigg Boss Ultimate. Abhirami Venkatchalam is a talented actor who is best known for her impressive performance in Ajith Kumar's Nerkonda Paarvai directed by H Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor. Abhirami has already completed the shoot of various projects which might release while she is inside the Bigg Boss house.

Talking about Bigg Boss Ultimate, this new edition will be an exclusive OTT version that will be available to stream only on Disney Hotstar platform. The interesting aspect of Bigg Boss Ultimate is that it will be a 24/7 streaming show that will showcase the happenings inside the house throughout the day, unlike the regular version of Bigg Boss which is edited to a one hour program. Bigg Boss Ultimate will begin on January 30, Sunday and the fans are eagerly looking forward to the same.

Deivamagal is one of the most successful serials of Sun TV and the serial enjoyed a humongous fan base during the time of its telecast. The serial gave a solid breakthrough for the lead actress, Vani Bhojan, who is currently one of the prominent names in the Tamil film industry. Krishna Raghunandhan, Rekha Krishnappa, played the other leads, while the supporting cast included Prakash Rajan, Arvind Khalthare, Sindhu Shyam, Suchitra, Vennira Aadai Nirmala, Sabitha Anand, Vanitha Hariharan, Siddharth Venkatesh, and others. Among the lot, Vanitha Hariharan played the character of Ragini Vasanth, as Prakash's younger sister and she managed to impress the audience with her performance.

Vanitha had replaced Nisha Krishnan who earlier played the role. Vanitha Vijayakumar restarted her career in the media industry with a positive approach through Vijay TV's widely popular show, Bigg Boss. Vanitha took part in the third season of Bigg Boss and it gave her a good reach among the Tamil audience. However, it was Cook with Comali that completely changed the image of Vanitha among the people of Tamil Nadu. Just like how the show brought out the untapped positive side of Shakeela in the second season, it was Vanitha in the first edition. Vanitha was the title winner of the show. Vanitha is currently a part of Vijay TV's ongoing show, BB Jodigal, which is a reality dance show featuring the former Bigg Boss contestants.

The show is in the initial stages of progress and the fans have given a positive response to the show, so far. Earlier today (July 2), Vanitha made an unexpected revelation, informing everyone that she is walking out of BB Jodigal. Vanitha took to her official Twitter page to share this news and it has come as a shocker for a lot of people. The upcoming weekend episode of BB Jodigal will be the last time the fans would see Vanitha in the show and she has dedicated her performance to her late mother and actress Manjula Vijayakumar.

A highly popular name among Tamil cinema fans, actress Vanitha Vijayakumar has now shared the news of her younger daughter Jonitha attaining puberty. Taking to her Instagram page on Thursday, Vanitha shared a picture of herself with Jonitha, which she captioned, "My little angel becomes a woman..daughters the most precious in the universe ..#goodnews #newyear #womenempowerment". The actress, who became a sensation in 2019 across Tamil Nadu after her stint on Bigg Boss Tamil season 3, had organized a function for her daughter this week, with their picture going viral on social media along with wishes pouring in from all corners. The eldest daughter of veteran Tamil actor Vijayakumar and his second wife, Tamil actress Manjula, Vanitha made her Tamil cinema debut as the female lead in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Chandralekha in 1995 after which she went on to star in notable films namely Manikkam alongside Rajkiran, Kakkai Siraginilae, Naan Rajavaga Pogiren, Summa Nachunu Irukku and MGR Sivaji Rajini Kamal, while also landing roles in Hitler Brothers in Malayalam and Devi in Telugu. 

Vanitha Vijayakumar quit the film industry after marrying actor Akash in 2000, with whom she had a son in 2001 and a daughter who was born in 2005. The couple had differences in their marriage and got divorced in 2005. The Bigg Boss 3 superstar then married Andhra Pradesh-based businessman Anand Jayarajan, with whom she gave birth to their Jonitha. However, their marriage too met with plenty of problems after which they split up. After a long legal battle, Jonitha, who was with her father, went to live with Vanitha in 2019. Anand Rajan had during Vanitha's stay in the Bigg Boss 3 house lodged a police complaint stating that she had kidnapped Jonitha, with officials going on to carry out their interrogation in the reality TV show's sets. Jonitha in her statement told the police that she had gone to live with her mother and upon her own will. Following her separation with Anand Rajan, Vanitha began dating choreographer Robert and they entered wedlock in 2013 before ending their relationship in 2017. She then entered into a relationship with Peter Paul, and got married in June 2020 in Chennai. However, their marriage didn't last long and they divorced a few months later with mutual consent. 

As for Vanitha's on screen appearances, she participated as one of the contestants on the hit Vijay TV cooking comedy show Cooku With Comali's season 1 and went on to emerge as the title winner, while also featuring as one of the judges of Kalakka Povathu Yaaru Season 9. 

Bigg Boss 3 fame Losliya's father Mariyanesan passed away last night (November 15) and the news has come as a shocker for everyone. The fans are mourning the death of Mariyanesan on social media and condolence messages are pouring in for Losliya and her family. According to reports, Mariyanesan passed away last night in Canada due to a heart attack and it is said that his body is yet to be brought back to Sri Lanka. Vanitha Vijayakumar, who was one of the contestants in Bigg Boss 3, took to her Twitter page to express her grief over Mariyanesan's demise.

She tweeted, "Even sadder to hearing the news of #LosliyaMariyanesan. cruel... I don't know how they are handling this... especially being he was the breadwinner and 3 daughters... very heartbroken.. life is too unpredictable... scary... I hope they can atleast bring back his body in this time".

Similarly, director Cheran mourned shared his condolence message by tweeting, "லாஸ்லியா.. தந்தையின் மேல் எத்தனை அன்பும், கனவும் வைத்திருந்தாய் என்பது நன்றாக தெரியும். இந்த செய்தி என்னையே உலுக்குகிறது. எப்படித்தாங்குவாய் மகளே. சொல்ல முடியாத துயரில் துடிக்கும் உனக்கும் குடும்பத்துக்கும் எப்படி ஆறுதல் சொல்வதென தெரியவில்லை. ஆழ்ந்த அனுதாபங்கள்.". Cheran was like a father figure to Losliya during the Bigg Boss days and they shared a sweet rapport. It is said that the process for bringing back Mariyanesan to Sri Lanka has been initiated. Losliya's father, Mariyanesan garnered huge attention when he entered the Bigg Boss house to meet his daughter after 10 long years. Losliya was emotionally moved and cried her heart out when she saw her father for the first time in a long time. Three seasons have been completed and the fourth season of Bigg Boss Tamil is recording an impressive viewership among the people of Tamil Nadu. The fourth season began on October 4 and the past 10 ten days have been quite entertaining for the audience. Things have slowly started to heat up inside the house and for the past few days, we have been witnessing constant fights and arguments between different housemates. The first argument was between Suresh Chakravarthy and Anitha Sampath which was sorted out by Kamal Haasan in the weekend episode. Vanitha Vijayakumar’s husband, Peter Paul was recently admitted to a private hospital in Chennai after he complained of having chest pain. The news created a huge buzz on social media. Vanitha also shared an emotional statement on her Twitter page, stating that this incident is a God’s challenge and assured that things will get alright soon. Vanitha’s well wishers and fans prayed for Peter Paul’s recovery and she thanked them for the support. Having said that, Peter Paul has now fully recovered from all his health problems and is back home in good health. Peter Paul spoke in a new video thanking everyone for the love and support. He also felt emotional about Vanitha’s love for him. The video was uploaded on Vanitha’s official YouTube channel.

Talking in the video, Peter Paul said, “Two days before, I wasn’t feeling well and I was admitted to Porur Ramachandra Hospital. I am now back home with good health and I need to thank all the doctors and the medical staff from the hospital for taking good care of me. I saw quite a few rumours about my health, but nothing of that is true. I am safe and completely alright. My heartfelt thanks to all the well wishers who prayed for my recovery. If I am here today in front of you talking in this video, the main reason is Vanitha. She was there for me throughout the past two days in the hospital. She was like a mother figure to me - she did what a mother would’ve done to her son.

I realised that I’ve got what all I missed in the past and I am happy to have met Vanitha in my life. I was able to recollect my past days when I used to eat unhealthy food outside and lead my life as a bachelor. I am grateful to God for making me meet Vanitha. If not for her, I wouldn’t be here talking to you. I’m unable to express my feelings in words. I am very grateful to her and God,”. Similarly, Vanitha posted on her Twitter page that everything is back to normal. She tweeted, “All is well...back home..”.

Vanitha Vijayakumar and Peter Paul got married on June 27 at Vanitha’s house in the presence of selective guests and family friends. Peter Paul is a VFX supervisor based out of Chennai and has worked in notable biggies in Tamil, Hindi and English. He is currently said to be involved in the process of mounting his debut directorial project which is a sci-fi thriller. Vanitha will be playing an important role in the film. Kalakka Povathu Yaaru - Season 9 is one of the most popular current shows on Vijay TV and the new episodes are being aired from the beginning of this month. This season features five artists - Erode Mahesh, Madurai Muthu, Aadhavan, Vanitha Vijayakumar and Ramya Pandian as the judges and we have been witnessing some funny performances from the participants every week. Having said that, Vijay TV has now officially released the three new promos for the upcoming episode which is set to be aired on coming Sunday, August 23 at 1 PM.

Going by the promos, it looks like we will be witnessing all the judges in different makeovers in this new episode. They have spoofed the iconic characters from Baahubali. Vanitha Vijayakumar has been dressed up as Rajamatha Sivagami Devi (Ramya Krishnan) and she gives a mass entry. Ramya Pandian is seen as Devasena (Anushka) while Madurai Muthu has spoofed Amarendra Baahubali (Prabhas). The hosts of the show, Azhar and Naveen will be seen as Kattappa and Kalakeya respectively. You can watch the promos to know who has dressed up as which Baahubali character.

However, the performances shown in these promos haven’t got a favourable response from the fans and it is evident through the comments. The shooting of these episodes happened a few days back at EVP Film City in the outskirts of Chennai. A few people have expressed that they do not wish to see Vanitha in this show. This reaction could be probably because of the recent controversies surrounding Vanitha. Talking about Kalakka Povathu Yaaru, the show is very popular among the household audience and the show has made a lot of aspiring comedy artists rise to fame.

The show has been running for the past 13 years and it has played a key role in giving the initial breakthrough for a lot of talents including Sivakarthikeyan, Arunraja Kamaraj, Robo Shankar, Chutti Aravind, Madurai Muthu, ‘Pazhaya Joke’ Thangadurai, Vadivel Balaji, Ramar, KPY Dheena, and others.
