Ajith has a huge fan base and whenever a new picture or video of his, comes out on social media, it instantly becomes viral among the netizens. Having said that, a new set of pictures featuring Ajith have now surfaced on social media and it has taken the fans by surprise. Earlier today (Oct 19), Ajith has visited Wagah, the India - Pakistan border and the pictures and videos have been doing rounds since this evening. We see Ajith holding the Indian flag and posing in front of the Wagah border and the picture has already gone viral among the fans. Ajith is someone who loves to travel during his break time and this incident is a reflection of the same.

Ajith, on his professional front, will be seen in Valimai which is his next outing after Nerkonda Paarvai. Ajith Kumar will be seen as a police officer in this action drama that is directed by H Vinoth of Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru fame. Produced by Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP, Valimai has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography handled by Nirav Shah. Huma Qureshi plays the female lead, while popular Telugu actor Karthikeya will be seen as the antagonist and it is going to be exciting to see their face-off on the big screen.

We had already seen a glimpse of the same in the teaser that was released a few weeks before, opening to a huge response from the audience. Sumithra, Yogi Babu, Raj Ayyappa, and Cook with Comali sensation Pugazh will be seen playing supporting roles. Valimai, which is currently in the post production stages, is scheduled to have a grand theatrical release for the festive occasion of Pongal in January 2022. The latest update on Ajith Kumar's Valimai is that the entire shooting of the film has been wrapped up and the team is back in Chennai. The entire team of Valimai, along with Ajith left for Russia in the last week of August for the final schedule of Valimai and it was said that the shoot will take place for 5 days in Russia. The shooting is now complete and the post-production works have begun in full swing. Though the crew members are back in town, Ajith is still in Russia and he is expected to travel around Russia on a bike. The pictures of Ajith Kumar clicked at Russia are now doing good rounds on social media since this morning (September 3) and the pictures have set the fans in excitement.

Ajith is someone who loves bike riding and it looks like the star actor is all set to explore his interest in Russia now. Rumours are rife that Ajith is also planning on a world tour on a bike and is in talks with several experts for executing the same. Valimai will be Ajith's next release in Tamil cinema and the fans have pinned high hopes on the film. Valimai is expected to take the box office by storm and it is said that the makers are targeting a festive release for the film. An official announcement on the film's release date is awaited.

Valimai is directed by the young and promising H Vinoth, while the music and cinematography is handled by Yuvan Shankar Raja and Nirav Shah respectively. The first single song from the film, 'Naanga Vera Maari' has turned out to be a sensational hit among the fans, thereby impressing the masses. The fans are now eagerly looking forward to the release of the second single from the film. Valimai which is touted to be a stylish action entertainer will have Ajith playing the role of a police officer and the much-loved actor is said to have performed several high octane action moves all by himself.

Blockbuster director Pa. Ranjith's highly-anticipated Sarpatta Parambarai premiered on Amazon Prime Video on Thursday and is currently the talk of the town. Starring Arya in the role of a boxer from a North Madras backdrop during the early 1980s, the action sports drama featuring music by Santhosh Narayanan has been garnering glowing reviews, with the entire packaging of Sarpatta Parambarai being praised. In that light, actor John Kokken, who plays the main opponent and antagonist Vembuli, is also basking in the glory for his rocking performance. 

John Kokken, who bulked up for his role in Sarpatta Parambarai like Arya and some other actors, had previously appeared in actor Ajith Kumar's blockbuster Veeram in 2013. Over the years, John has on several occasions told about how the Valimai star has motivated him in life after the two acted in Veeram. Now, John has once again spoken about 'Thala' Ajith in high regard on social media, while dedicating his performance as Vembuli in Sarpatta Parambarai to the superstar. Taking to Instagram, John Kokken wrote, "Thank you Ajith Sir #thalaajith for always motivating me and encouraging me to believe in myself. The time spent with you during #veeram shooting days were life lessons for me. You inspire me to work harder each day and to become a better human being. Despite Sarpatta Parambarai not being released in theatres, it has taken a stunning opening on Amazon Prime Video as social media has been booming with largely positive reviews from fans, critics and celebrities.  Produced by K9 Studios in association with Pa. Ranjith's Neelam Productions, Sarpatta Parambarai also has Dushara Vijayan as the female lead, followed by Pasupathy, Kalaiyarasan, Anupama Kumar, Sanchana Natarajan, Santhosh Prathap, John Vijay among others in pivotal roles, with cinematography by Murali G and editing by Selva RK.

Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi is all set to turn a television host for the second time through a new show, Master Chef Tamil, which will be aired on Sun TV. Master Chef Tamil is a cookery show where the best cooking talents fight for a title and unlike the previous cookery shows in Tamil, this one is expected to be quite serious and strongly content-driven. Of course, the show will have its own share of entertainment, as well. As part of the show's promotions, Vijay Sethupathi interacted with the press and media. In an exclusive interview with Galatta Media, Vijay Sethupathi opened up about several interesting topics.

Vijay Sethupathi has acted with Superstar Rajinikanth and Thalapathy Vijay and is all set to act alongside Kamal Haasan in Vikram. We asked him if he would be open to act with Ajith, Makkal Selvan opened up by saying, "I agreed to act as the villain in Maari, but due to various other reasons, I was not able to do that film. I don't have any restrictions as such. There is an unnecessary rivalry that is going on between the fans and I do not want to get stuck in that. I want to avoid that. I want to act with all actors. I am definitely interested to act with Ajith sir. If they call me to act with Vijay sir in a new film, I am very much ready to do it.

I am ready to act in many more films with Rajini sir, or anyone for that reason. All that matters for me is what I have got to do in that film. If my role is interesting and if I feel there is potential, I will do it. The audience comes to a theatre with a certain level of expectation after seeing me in a poster and so I need to withhold that trust and not disappoint them". Vijay Sethupathi's next release will most likely be Tughlaq Durbar which is rumoured to have a direct OTT release. However, an official word is awaited.

His upcoming lineup of projects include Kadaisi Vivasayi, Maamanithan, Laabam, Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir, Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, Annabelle Subramaniam, Viduthalai, Mumbaikar (Hindi debut), and an untitled film with director Ponram.

Sun Pictures is a renowned production house in Tamil cinema known for bankrolling big scale projects with leading star heroes. The company's first production venture was the mega sci-fi action thriller, Enthiran, which featured Superstar Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead roles. Sun Pictures also released Thala Ajith's 50th film, Mankatha in a grand manner through record number of screens. Mankatha was celebrated by the fans in a great manner and it offered a great amount of entertainment. People felt that Mankatha was the perfect 50th film for Ajith as it had enough goosebumps moments, unexpected twists and turns to keep the audience hooked to the screens. Even today, the interval (kingmaker) sequence and the climax twist is remembered by the fans. Mankatha was directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri.

The film featured Trisha as the female lead and had music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Wonder why we are talking about Mankatha now? Well, Sun Pictures delivered a pleasant surprise for all the Ajith fans by releasing an unseen picture from Mankatha featuring Ajith and Trisha. In this unseen picture, we see the lead pair sharing a lighter moment and it looks good. The fans are eagerly looking forward to the sequel of Mankatha and let us hope that it happens soon.

Sun Pictures had last produced Sivakarthikeyan's Namma Veettu Pillai which was a huge success at the box office. The esteemed production house will now produce Suriya's upcoming film (Suriya40), directed by Pandiraj. This film is touted to be a commercial family entertainer that will be high on action and mass. Suriya, who is riding high on the success of Soorarai Pottru will be looking forward to continuing the streak with Suriya 40 as well. Sun Pictures will also be bankrolling Dhanush's D44 (tentative) that will have music scored by rockstar Anirudh Ravichander. The highly celebrated DnA combo will reunite after a long time through D44 and there is a good amount of buzz around that film.

Sun Pictures will also be producing Thalapathy Vijay's highly anticipated Thalapathy65 which is yet to be officially announced. Rumours suggest that director Nelson Dilipkumar of Kolamaavu Kokila and Doctor fame is the frontrunner to helm the film, but let us wait for an official word. Coming out with successful films on a consistent basis is a mighty tough task in Tamil cinema and any film industry considering there is always a heavy competition. In that light, director H. Vinoth, who made head turns with his 2014 heist thriller film Sathuranga Vettai, made heads turn while also winning the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Storywriter for his work. He then collaborated with Karthi in 2017 for Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, which as well fetched him critical acclaim, with the film turning out to be a box office blockbuster. Fast forward two years later, H. Vinoth hit the bullseye yet again and this time with 'Thala' Ajith in Nerkonda Paarvai, which turned out to be the biggest box office success for the filmmaker. 

An official remake of the smash hit Hindi film Pink, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles, Nerkonda Paarvai had Ajith in the role portrayed by the legendary Bollywood actor, while Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam and Andrea Tariang were cast in major supporting roles and, Vidya Balan made a cameo appearance. Produced by Boney Kapoor under his Bayview Projects LLP banner and featuring hit music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, Nerkonda Paarvai fetched both H. Vinoth and Ajith for tackling a sensitive story, which spawned a discussion on topics like women empowerment and sexual harassment. 

Post the success of NKP, Boney Kapoor once again announced a team-up with Ajith, H. Vinoth and Yuvan Shankar Raja for an action thriller titled Valimai, which as per reports wrapped an important schedule at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad earlier this week. The upcoming film has created massive expectations among Ajith fans as it has been revealed that there will be high-octane action sequences. With an important leg of filming now wrapped, a new picture of director H. Vinoth has now surfaced on social media. The Valimai director is seen wearing a face mask as a safety precaution against coronavirus and being greeted at the Tuticorin Airport before he reportedly headed off to Thiruchendur. 'Thala' Ajith fans have been waiting for a glimpse of the superstar for a while now and based on the quiet work the Valimai team has been carrying out, we can expect an update from the makers sometime soon. Apart from Ajith, Valimai will also include Karthikeya who is speculated to be playing the antagonist, with Kaala fame Huma Qureshi as the female lead, followed by Yogi Babu, Raj Ayyappa, Saranya Ravichandran among others forming the supporting cast. 

It looks like this is the season of bomb threats. A few weeks back, we heard that Superstar Rajinikanth's residence in Poes Garden received a bomb threat from an unknown stranger. A few days later, it was revealed that Thalapathy Vijay's house received a bomb threat. The Police officials later revealed that these bomb threat calls were fake and hoax. The latest to join that list now is actor Ajith Kumar. Yes, according to the latest reports, actor Ajith's house in Injambakkam received a bomb threat earlier today (July 18).

It is said that the Police Control Room received a phone call from a private number stating that a bomb has been implanted at Ajith’s house. However, when the Police Officials and the Bomb Squad executed a search operation, it was revealed that it was a hoax call and there were no threatening objects at his house. This news has come as a sigh of relief for the fans who were curious after hearing about the bomb threat.

With leading actors getting bomb threat calls back to back, this seems to have created a confusion among the people. The Police are said to be tracking the guy who was behind this bomb threat call. An official word regarding this controversy, either from Ajith’s side or Police officials, is awaited.

On the work front, Ajith is currently acting in Valimai, an action thriller, directed by H Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP. This film will feature Ajith as a cop and it is expected to have a lot of high octane action and intense chase sequences which are planned to be shot abroad. Valimai, which has Huma Qureshi as the female lead, will have music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Nirav Shah. The film’s shooting is expected to resume after the pandemic and the exact release date will be finalized only the makers get a clarity about the shooting plans.

Dr. Ashwathnarayan CN, the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka has praised actor Ajith Kumar and his initiative to sanitize large areas against Corona Virus through disinfectant drones. Ashwathnarayan is also the Minister of Higher Education, Information Technology and Biotechnology, Science and Technology and Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood in the Government of Karnataka. He is a Member of Karnataka Legislative Assembly representing BJP from Malleshwaram constituency, Bangalore. In his tweet Ashwathnarayan says “Kudos to Team #Dhaksha, mentored by filmstar #AjithKumar, for developing a way to sanitize large areas against COVID-19 via disinfectant drones. Time and again, technology has proven to be critical in the fight against #COVID-19! @sugaradhana.” 
 
Dr Ashwathnarayan also hold the position of Convener of Doctors Cell - Bharatiya Janata Party and Founder President of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. He was also the Vice President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Bangalore District, Senate Member of Bangalore University, Syndicate and Senate Member of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Employees Association, Bangalore, and the Chairman of Committee for drafting statutes for A&B, C&D cadre of employees of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. Ajith Kumar had two releases last year in the form of Viswasam and Nerkonda Paarvai, one minted money at the box office while the other went on to win people's heart. After Nerkonda Paarvai, Ajith has teamed up with director H Vinoth once again for a stylish action cop thriller Valimai. This movie, bankrolled by Boney Kapoor under his Bayview Projects LLP banner, went on floors during flag end of 2019. Thala fans were hoping for the film to release for Diwali 2021 but due to the outbreak of Corona the film is likely to be pushed to 2021 which means Ajith will not be having any releases this year. Ever since the release of Amaravathi in 1993, Ajith has had film releases almost every year. 2009, 2016 and 2018 are the only three years he has not had a single film release. It looks like 2020 might join this list now. 

Popular anchor and VJ Dhivyadharshini, fondly called as DD, recently revealed that she fractured her left foot and shared the news on social media with a picture. Her followers and well-wishers, who were shocked upon hearing the news, wished her for a speedy recovery. DD is someone who is known for being vibrant, active, and delightful all the time.
