A film that has sky-high expectations among fans right from the moment of its announcement earlier this month, the upcoming Vishal-Arya multi-starrer is being directed by Arima Nambi, Iru Mugan and NOTA fame Anand Shankar. Being produced by S Vinodkumar's Mini Studios Productions banner, the yet-to-be-titled film will mark the second occasion both Vishal and Arya will be seen sharing screen space together after their Avan Ivan in 2011 under Bala's direction.

The Vishal-Arya starrer tentatively being called Vishal 30 and Arya 32 is incidentally also Mini Studios' ninth venture and their fourth Tamil film in a row. Currently being shot at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, the makers have now officially announced that actress Mirnalini Ravi has joined the film’s sets and is playing the female lead opposite Vishal, while Arya is said to be the antagonist. Mirnalini Ravi shot to fame across Tamil Nadu with her lip sync videos on popular apps like dubsmash and Tik Tok, eventually landing her first role in the 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi, Samantha Akkineni and Fahadh Faasil starrer, Super Deluxe. Although she had little screen time, Mirnalini's role was a crucial one in the Thiagarajan Kumararaja-directed black comedy-drama film, which earned massive critical acclaim. Post Super Deluxe, Mirnalini appeared in the Susienthiran starrer Champion and is set to be seen next in 'Chiyaan' Vikram's Cobra, MGR Magan opposite Sasikumar, including the science-fiction thriller Jango being produced by CV Kumar's Thirukumaran Entertainment banner. 

Ace cinematographer RD Rajasekar has been roped in for the Vishal-Arya film, which also includes music by current South Indian sensation S. Thaman, whose popularity shot up after his phenomenal chart-busters in Telugu superstar Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo earlier this year. There is also a strong talk doing the rounds as reports state actress Sameera Reddy has been cast in a role in the film, with an official announcement expected to be made soon.

The latest exciting update is that the official OST (Original Sound Track) of the film is all set to be released tomorrow (May 27) evening at 6 PM. This OST will be released on Yuvan’s official YouTube channel, U1 Records. This news has made the fans excited and look forward to something interesting. Super Deluxe’s background score played an important part in enhancing the overall mood and feel of the film and it is indeed going to be a treat for the fans to listen to all those musical scores officially.

Adhik Ravichandran, who is known for directing films like Trisha Illana Nayanthara and Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan (AAA), is right now committed to the directorial works of his next - Bagheera. This new film will have Prabhu Deva as the male lead and the first look poster, which released last month, created a rage on social media. Prabhu Deva’s clean shaven bald look managed to hold a good buzz on social media and additionally, it was said that the multi-talented artist will be seen in different avatars in the film, apart from the bald look.

The latest update is that this film will have the super talented actress Gayathrie of Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom and Super Deluxe fame as one of the female leads. Details about her character is yet to be known. Gayathrie took to her official Twitter space to confirm this news and she would be sharing screen space with Prabhu Deva for the first time. Anegan fame Amyra Dastur will be seen as the other female lead.

As far as the technical team is concerned, the film has music by Ganesan Sankar, cinematography by Abinandhan Ramanujam and editing by Ruben. The team has already completed more than 50% of the shooting and the rest of the portions will be filmed once the corona pandemic is controlled. Produced by Bharathan Pictures, this film is said to deal with a never-before-seen genre and the project looks quite interesting on cards.

Earlier today, producer S. Sashikanth of Y Not Studios officially announced he has roped in director Karthik Subbaraj and National Award-winning actor Dhanush for his next venture in association with Reliance Entertainment. With filming set to take place entirely in the United Kingdom from August 2019, the project has been revealed to be a gangster thriller and includes Malayalam actress Aishwarya Lekshmi playing the female lead. Now, sources close to us have revealed that child artiste Ashwanth Ashokkumar is part of the film’s cast. It will be his next big role after starring in Vijay Sethupathi’s critically-acclaimed, Super Deluxe, earlier this year and the upcoming Karthi-Jyothika’s untitled film hitting screens in October.

Dhanush had initially announced he would be joining hands with director Karthik Subbaraj in 2016 after which both of them went on to be preoccupied with their other film commitments. Ever since then, there have been reports that a Hollywood actor would be roped in to be part of the film with Academy Award-winning actor Al Pacino’s name being the prominent choice. For now, that still remains just a rumor and we can expect more details to surface in the days ahead regarding the additional cast. The film already has a stellar technical team with names like Santhosh Narayanan for music, cinematography by Shreyaas Krishna, editing by Vivek Harshan, art direction by Vinoth Rajkumar, stunts by Anbariv, choreography by M Sherif and Baba Baskar, costume designs by Praveen Raja D, Sabari Girison as the chief make-up artist and sound design by Vishnu Govind and Sree Sankar.

A film that has raised huge curiosity as well as excitement among fans is the upcoming Karthi and Jyothika starrer, which is yet-to-be-titled and is being directed by Papanasam fame Jeethu Joseph in light of the announced October 2019 release plans.

Being produced by Parallel Minds production and Viacom18 Studios handling the distribution, the untitled film is tentatively being called Karthi 20 and also includes Sathyaraj and Nikhila Vimal in vital supporting roles with music by Govind Vasantha and cinematography being handled by RD Rajasekar.

Production on the Karthi 20 has been progressing at a steady pace at Ooty over the past few days with Nikhila Vimal joining the shooting as well.

That said, yet another new acting revelation has now come on board the Karthi-Jyothika film in the form of child artiste Ashwanth Ashok Kumar, who played the character, Rasukutty, the son of Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathrie Shankar in the recent critical hit, Super Deluxe.

Apart from his stellar performance in Super Deluxe, Ashwanth Ashok Kumar had also starred in Nayanthara’s horror film, Airaa, earlier this year and his inclusion in the upcoming film with Karthi, Jyothika, Sathyaraj and Nikhila Vimal will no doubt be a big delight for fans everywhere who were left floored with his performance in filmmaker Thiagarajan Kumararaja's neo-noir black comedy hit that came out a couple of months back. 

Popular filmmaker Vinayan has launched the much awaited sequel to his 90s superhit horror movie, Akashaganga. Titled Akashaganga 2, it features popular Southern actress and Baahubali fame Ramya Krishnan. Vishnu Vinay, Sreenath Bhasi, Vishnu Govind, Salim Kumar, Hareesh Kanaran, Dharmajan Bolgatty etc also play pivotal roles in this film.

Ramya Krishnan was last seen in Tamil hit movie, Super Deluxe. She was appreciated for her superb acting in this neo-noir black comedy, which had a superb cast consisting of Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Samantha Akkineni. Its shooting began recently at Olappamanna Mana, Vellinezhi amid much expectations from fans. The prequel was also shot at the same location. Vishnu Vinay is playing the protagonist in this film that will narrate the ordeal of a a group of medical students who fall prey to unfortunate incidents as they venture into a ghost house.

After a long rap of 8 years, Thiagarajan Kumararaja marked his second directorial venture with the release of Super Deluxe just a month back. The film featured Vijay Sethupathi, Samantha, Ramya Krishnan, director Mysskin, Fahadh Faasil, Gayathrie among others and the film went on to perform fairly well at the box office. Keeping its numbers aside, it is undoubtedly one of the films that have been in the limelight for a very long time and various celebrities and prominent people from the Cinema industry have expressed this extreme fondness over the film. 

Apart from turning heads in Kollywood, the film has now reached Bollywood as well. Sources close to us suggest that Thiagarajan Kumararaja himself will be marking his debut in Bollywood with the Hindi version of Super Deluxe. It is to be noted that Super Deluxe has already been sold to popular Online Platform Netflix for a huge sum. If this news turns out to be official, we sure can expect some very talented actors from Bollywood to join hands for this one of a kind film!

Samantha Akkineni is riding high on the successful opening of her film, Super Deluxe, directed by Thiagarajan Kumararaja. The talented actress has been receiving rave reviews from the critics and the audience for her intense performance as Vaembu. A section of people also termed Super Deluxe to be her career best performance.

With this being the case, Samantha will have one more release in the coming weekend in the form of Majili, in which she has paired up with her husband Naga Chaitanya for the first time after marriage. Also starring Divyansha Kaushik, Majili is directed by Shiva Nirvana of Ninnu Kori fame. Amidst high expectations from the Tollywood audience, the film will hit the screens on April 5.

The film showcases Naga Chaitanya in two different time frames, one being a budding cricketer and another being a frustrated husband. Samantha plays Chay's wife in the film, while his teenage lover is played by Divyansha. The film's musical score is done by Gopi Sundar and Thaman S. With the film getting ready for release, the makers have now released the theatrical trailer. The pre-release event for Majili happened last night at Hyderabad and on that note, the trailer was released.
