Actresses Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh have been issued summons by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in a drugs case linked to the investigation of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. The high-profile actresses have been informed to appear in front of the NCB in the next three days for questioning in the widening probe into the Bollywood-drug nexus, which emerged during the investigation into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Deepika Padukone has been summoned to appear on September 25, while while Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan have been summoned on September 26.

Earlier, Deepika Padukone's manager Karishma Prakash had been interrogated after WhatsApp chats dating back to October 2017 between the two were retrieved from actress Rhea Chakraborty's mobile phone, who was Sushant Singh Rajput's girlfriend at the time of his death. During questioning Rhea Chakraborty, the actress had allegedly named Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh in her statement to the NCB. Shraddha's name surfaced in the case after it was reported that she had participated in the celebrations of Sushant's film, Chhichhore, at his Lonavala farmhouse, where drugs were allegedly used. Shraddha had played the role of the female lead in Chhichhore. 

Actress Dia Mirza’s name too had come up in the ongoing Bollywood-drug nexus scandal after which she quickly took to social media to rebuke the allegations and issue a clarification. In her statement, she mentioned how it held the possibility of causing damage to her career. She wrote, "I would like to strongly refute and categorically deny this news as being false, baseless and with mala fide intentions. Such frivolous reporting has a direct impact on my reputation being besmirched and is causing damage to my career which I have painstakingly built with years of hard work. I have never procured or consumed any narcotic or contraband substances of any form in my life. I intend to pursue the full extent of legal remedies available to me as a law abiding citizen of India. Thanks to my supporters for standing by me."

Up until now, the NCB has arrested 12 persons in connection with the drug case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput's death case among whom include Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, Sushant's house manager Samuel Miranda, personal staff Dipesh Sawant and others.

Several ambitious films are being conceived and developed in Indian cinema and the upcoming Bollywood venture, Baaghi 3, is an action thriller directed by Ahmed Khan and is a joint production by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Fox Star Studios. Touted to be a spiritual sequel to Baaghi (2016) and Baaghi 2 (2018), Baaghi 3 includes an impressive star cast featuring names like Tiger Shroff as the lead alongside Riteish Deshmukh, Shraddha Kapoor and Ankita Lokhande in major starring roles.

An official remake of the 2012 Tamil film, Vettai, a high octane action-packed Baaghi 3 trailer has now been released and shows Tiger Shroff flexing his muscles while Shraddha Kapoor has been revealed to be playing the role of an air hostess. Announced to be hitting theatres worldwide on March 6, Baaghi 3's supporting cast also includes names like Danish Bhat, Vijay Varma, Jaideep Ahlawat, Jameel Khoury among others with the songs composed by Vishal-Shekhar, Bappi Lahiri, Tanishk Bagchi, Sachet-Parampara, Rochak Kohli and Pranaay and the background score by Julius Packiam.

The visuals in the Baaghi 3 trailer shows us the amount of extensive planning that has gone behind the action scenes and the credit needs to go to cinematographer Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran, who had previously worked in the hit Telugu film, NOTA, with the editing done by Rameshwar S. Bhagat.

Released worldwide a few days back, Prabhas’ Saaho has been officially declared a blockbuster with the film grossing over 400 crores in a span of 10 days. An action thriller, the film made in Telugu has also been dubbed in Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam. With the film out in theatres already, promotions are still being carried out extensively by the makers, who have now released the video for the smash hit ‘Psycho Saiyyan’ song in Hindi. Composed and written by Tanishk Bagchi, the song has been sung by Sachet Tandon, Dhvani Bhanushali and Tanishk Bagchi under the UV Creations banner with the song picturized on Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor now released on the T-Series YouTube Channel. 

Despite the film receiving mixed response, Saaho has gone on to taste major box office success and is currently en route to becoming yet another commercial success for Prabhas after starring in the blockbuster Baahubali films. Directed by Sujeeth, Saaho also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh playing the antagonist followed by Arun Vijay, Evelyn Sharma, Mandira Bedi, Mahesh Manjrekar, Chunky Pandey, Jackie Shroff, Malayalam actor Lal among others in major supporting roles.

Shraddha Kapoor is currently on a complete roll. After impressing everyone with her film, Saaho, the actress is currently managing to win applauds from her this week’s release, Chhichhore. According to a trade analyst, the film starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles, Chhichhore earned Rs 12.25 crore on Saturday, bringing in its total box office collection to Rs 19.57 crore at present. The college drama directed by Nitesh Tiwari opened up at the box office with Rs 7.32 crore.

Many are saying that the film opened up to a decent weekend because of Nitesh Tiawri’s first film, Dangal which starred Aamir Khan. Box Office predictors have revealed that the film might not be able to gain much pace even though the story and the acting are commendable. Let’s see whether the film manages to earn well in the week or not. Meanwhile, Shraddha’s Saaho is also struggling to make a mark at the Box Office due to its weak story.

After much deliberation, the team of Saaho has finally confirmed their heroine. While shooting for the bilingual movie featuring Prabhas in the lead is underway for sometime now, it was rumoured Anushka may play the lead again.

The director has finally confirmed that Shraddha Kapoor will play the female lead in this movie which will be released in both Tamil and Telugu. She’s the popular star from Haseena Parkar who will make her debut down South.

Prabhas is also learning Hindi for Saaho which is being shot in three different languages, if new sources are to be believed.
