‘Thalapathy’ Vijay recently organised an event to honour students who received top scores in public exams in the 10th and 12th standards. This event made headline has raised rumours that it could be a base for the actor to enter politics soon. Fans are to know what other celebrities think about the event organised through All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam. Actor Sathyaraj who has acted with Vijay in many films addressed the press today. When asked his opinion about the recent movie of the Leo actor Sathyaraj said “It is a good initiative by Vijay” and stated he would talk about the political entry because the actor had not spoken about it.

As a reporter asked about 'Thalapathy' Vijay's advice for students to read Ambedkar, Kamarajar, The veteran actor said "it's nice that brother Vijay listed Periyar, Ambedkar and Kamarajar as examples." Sathyaraj added he is a person who is looked up to by many youngsters, so, what he said made them happy. When asked about the actor smoking in the new poster from Leo, The actor said “Actors would have to change for the character.” he then stated that he was acting as a villain in a recent film and had to smoke for that role and the dialogues that are spoken in a film are just for the story and said “In Makkal En Pakkam film, I acted as a smuggler and spoke positively about smuggling, but it is wrong."  He also mentioned that in Walter Vetrivel he played a good character "So we have to change according to the character."

These recent comments by Sathyaraj have become viral on social media. Further, as a reporter asked if his daughter is going to enter politics, the actor said that should only be from her. Many other directors and actors including Vetri Maaran, and Seenu Ramasamy, have also praised 'Thalapathy' Vijay for encouraging the education of students and for his speech. It is to be noted that actor Vijay distributed gifts and cash prizes for over 6,000 students in an event that lasted for over 12 hours.

Actor Sibi Sathyraj’s next with Andrea Jeremiah titled Vattam is gearing up to start streaming on Disney+ Hotstar on July 29. The film is directed by  Kamalakannan of Madhubana Kadai fame and has been bankrolled by brothers S. R. Prabhu and S. R. Prakash Babu under the banner of Dream Warrior Pictures. The film also stars Vamsi Krishna, Athulya Ravi, Bala Saravanan, Chaitra Reddy, and Sasi among others in pivotal roles.

The makers of the film recently launched the official trailer of the film and it seems to look like a hyperlink drama with multiple characters crossing each other's crossing paths at a point in their lives. The trailer portrays Sibiraj who is trying to work hard and make money and at the same time is confused about why women, though love a person truly, choose to get married only when the man is wealthy. The hyperlink drama shows that many characters throughout the film cross paths and how they pull a theft.

The trailer was released during the movie's press meet in Chennai, a while ago. Nivas K Prasanna composed music for the film while PV Shankar handled the cinematography and Shivanandeeswaran took care of the editing.

On the work front, Sibiraj was last seen in the mythological thriller film Maayon which was released a month ago on 24 June 2022. He is also awaiting the release of his film upcoming Ranger directed by Dharani Dharan of Jackson Durai fame. Andrea, on the other hand, is awaiting the release of her films Kaa and Anal Mele Panithuli.

Radio jockey turned actor/filmmaker RJ Balaji is back with his next venture, Veetla Vishesham, which is set to open in theatres on June 17. The highly-anticipated family comedy entertainer is only a day away from its grand theatrical release and will mark the third big outing for RJ Balaji as a hero after LKG (2019) and Mookuthi Amman (2020). Produced by Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP banner in association with Zee Studios and being presented by Romeo Pictures, Veetla Vishesham has generated massive excitement among fans as it also is RJ Balaji's second directorial venture with NJ Saravanan after their Mookuthi Amman, which turned out to be a stellar success after its release on OTT, with fans now gearing up to witness the antics on the big screen. 

With promotions underway for Veetla Vishesham ahead of its theatrical release tomorrow, the makers on Thursday released a sneak peak teasing a major plot element, featured on RJ Balaji and veteran actors Sathyaraj, Urvasi, and the late K. P. A. C. Lalitha. Although not much is revealed, we see the tension building up between the stars before the Veetla Vishesham sneak peek cuts off to its title and thus leaving the audience in suspense as to what happens next. The Tamil version of the film, which also has Soorarai Pottru heroine Aparna Balamurali and Bigg Boss 4 fame Shivani Narayanan, is an official remake of the smash hit 2018 Bollywood film, Badhaai Ho, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao, Surekha Sikri, and Sanya Malhotra in the lead roles. 

There's a lot of buzz for Veetla Vishesham as producer Boney Kapoor is promoting the film extensively following massive successes in the form of Ajith Kumar's Valimai and Udhayanidhi Stalin's Nenjuku Needhi. The upcoming film has a talented technical team on board featuring the likes of composer Girishh Gopalakrishnan of Aval fame, followed by cinematography and editing by Karthik Muthukumar and Selva RK of Karnan and Sarpatta Parambarai fame respectively, while RJ Balaji has penned the dialogues.

Divya Sathyaraj, daughter of acclaimed veteran actor Sathyaraj, is one of India's leading nutritionists and is set to enter politics next month Recently, she was trolled for a couple of photos she had posted on Instagram, following which she has now issued a strong response. Divya gave a stern reply stating, "I read a lot of vulgar and rude comments about my recent photos. Several people have stated that an aspiring politician should be seen in a cotton saree. As a Periyarist, I strongly believe that women's freedom is a sign of social freedom. Every woman should have the right to wear what she wants. I will be joining politics soon. I will selflessly work for the health and happiness of my people in Tamil Nadu. I request people not to judge me for what I wear." 

Divya Sathyaraj, who serves as an ambassador of the non-profit organization, Akshaya Patra, has conducted several vitamin awareness camps for Tamil people living in refugee camps over the years. She also started the Mahilmadhi movement in mid-2020 as an effort to tackle the issues related to malnutrition among people belonging to the lower strata of society. Various areas in Chennai were identified as part of the movement where there was a lack of access and awareness of nutritious food, with focused interventions also set up to help and improve their living conditions. She said at the time, "Our team’s activities will include promoting awareness on the importance of nutrition as well as distributing hygienic and healthy food free of cost, to those in need. I was looking for a Tamil name for my movement when I came across the name ‘Mahilmadhi’ in ancient Tamil literature, I thought it was perfect. The words can be translated to literally mean a ‘happy mind’ and food, more than anything is a foundation for happiness. The word also encompasses my mother’s name, Maheshwari. Although I am looking at a journey in politics, 'Mahilmadhi Iyakkam' is not a political party. This is a movement of volunteers who have come together to help those in need irrespective of caste, creed or religion." 

Veteran actor Sathyaraj was tested positive for the Covid 19 virus and was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai, last week. The fans and well-wishers extended their warm wishes for the much-loved actor to recover soon from the infection. Following a few days of stay at the hospital, Sathyaraj has now been discharged from the hospital and is said to be in good health. Sathyaraj's son and actor Sibi Sathyaraj took to his official Twitter page to share the health update and it has come as a big relief for the fans and well-wishers. Sibi tweeted, "Hey guys.. Appa got discharged from the hospital last night and back home.. He’s totally fine and will resume work after few days of rest.. Thank you all for your love and support! #Sathyaraj".

Additionally, Sibi also alerted the fans that his father is not available on any social media platforms and requested them to block or unfollow any profiles which claim to be Sathyaraj. On the acting front, Sathyaraj was last seen in Theerpugal Virkapadum which was released a few days before, opening to fairly decent reviews. Up next, the ace actor will be seen playing a pivotal character in Suriya's Etharkkum Thunindhavan directed by Pandiraj.

Sathyaraj will be essaying the role of Suriya's father in this film which is currently in the post-production stages. Etharkkum Thunindhavan is scheduled to release in theatres on February 4, but looking at the current situation, the film is likely to be pushed to a later date. Apart from ET, Sathyaraj is also acting in Comali fame Pradeep Ranganathan's second directorial which features him in the lead role, under the production of AGS Entertainment.

Veteran Tamil actor Sathyaraj has been hospitalized after testing positive for Covid-19, reports say. A favorite among audiences of all ages, the iconic star is said to be undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai and an official statement is currently being awaited from medical officials regarding his health condition. Fans are sending in their wishes to Sathyaraj to bounce back to good health and make a complete recovery from Covid-19. The legendary actor is the latest among celebrities to test positive for Covid over the past week after leading names like director Priyadarshan, actress Trisha, actor Mahesh Babu and music composer Thaman too confirmed their diagnosis. 

On the work front, Sathyaraj, who garnered nationwide popularity after his stellar performance in SS Rajamouli's blockbuster Baahubali films starring Prabhhas and Anushka Shetty in the lead roles, will be looking to resume shooting for his upcoming films soon after he returns home from his Covid treatment. Last seen on the big screen in 2019 in the Karthi-starrer Thambi, the acclaimed performer had two releases in 2021 - Tughlaq Durbar and MGR Magan, with the former being telecast directly on Sun TV, while the latter premiered on Disney+ Hotstar. Sathyaraj is currently attached to several projects that include Suriya's Etharkkum Thunindhavan, followed by Prabhas and Pooja Hegde's Radhe Shyam, the Rana Daggubati-starrer 1945, and the Telugu film Pakka Commercial, which has Gopichand in the lead role. 

Considering many stars have tested positive for Covid-19 since the outbreak of the pandemic in 2020, celebrities have constantly urged the people to adhere to the government and medical officials' health and safety protocols against the virus. With the spread of the Omicron variant now rampant, personalities from all walks of life are once again appealing to fans to mask up and get vaccinated as early as possible to win the battle against Covid-19. Leading South Indian actress Nayanthara announced her new film Connect in November on the occasion of her birthday, with the first look posters receiving a stellar response from fans. Set in the horror genre, the film also marks the reunion of director Ashwin Saravanan and Nayanthara, who previously collaborated in 2015 for the neo-noir venture Maya. Being produced Vignesh Shivan under the Rowdy Pictures banner, it was announced that actor Sathyaraj will be playing a crucial role in Connect. In that light, the makers revealed on Saturday on the occasion of Christmas that the ace veteran has joined Connect, while also treating fans to a new poster. Check it out below:

Connect will be the second time Sathyaraj and Nayanthara are sharing screen space after they starred in the 2013 romantic drama film, Raja Rani, under Atlee's direction and featured the two as the father-daughter duo, with Arya, Jai and Nazriya cast in the lead roles. Sathyaraj, who continues to be a favorite among the young and the elderly alike for his vivacious nature, has proven his mettle time and again in all kinds of roles and his inclusion in the upcoming venture will no doubt be a major aspect to look out for. 

Apart from Nayanthara and Sathyaraj, Connect will include National Award winner and veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher, who is making his Tamil cinema comeback after appearing in films like V.I.P., Kadhalar Dhinam, Little John, and Kuttrapathirikai to name a notable few. Connect, which is also Ashwin Saravanan's next after his critically-acclaimed box office hit Game Over, will feature the up-and-coming musical artiste Haniya Nafisa with a talented technical team featuring the likes of composer Prithvi Chandrasekhar, cinematographer Manikantan Krishnamachary, editor Richard Kevin, art directors Sreeraman and Siva Sankar, and costume designs by Anu Vardhan and Kavitha J. 

Director Pradeep Ranganathan of Comali fame is getting ready to begin shooting for his second project which will feature him in the lead role. Pradeep will be making his debut as a lead hero with this film which will be bankrolled by AGS Entertainment, known for producing Thalapathy Vijay's Bigil and several other blockbuster hits. Yesterday (December 20), the makers made a big announcement revealing that the film will have music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and the update garnered wide attention and a huge buzz on social media. It is going to be interesting to see what Yuvan has to offer musically to this film which is expected to be a youthful comedy entertainer.

Following Yuvan's addition, the makers have now made a new announcement regarding the addition of a legendary actor and here are the exciting details about the same. Ace actor Sathyaraj has been signed onboard to play a pivotal character in this film and his addition to the cast will prove to be of vital significance. Archana Kalpathi, the Creative Producer of this film, took to her official Twitter page to make this announcement. This untitled film is expected to go on floors from early 2022 and an official word regarding the same is awaited. A young and prominent actress is said to have been finalized as the female lead and we can expect a formal announcement about it soon. Details regarding the rest of the cast and crew are awaited. Apart from this untitled flick, AGS Entertainment is also currently bankrolling Naai Sekar which features Sathish and Cook with Comali fame Pavithra Lakshmi in the lead roles. Sasikumar's rural family entertainer MGR Magan is all set for a grand premiere on DisneyPlus Hotstar on November 4 on the festive occasion of Diwali. Directed by Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam and Rajini Murugan fame Ponram under the Screen Scene Media Entertainment Pvt Ltd banner, promotions have kicked off, with the team on Saturday releasing the much-awaited MGR Magan trailer, which features Sasikumar alongside some of the other big names in the film among whom include veteran actor Sathyaraj and Samuthirakani. 

The MGR Magan trailer is a fun-filled package of entertainment, with the story set around Sasikumar amidst a rural backdrop and Sathyaraj playing the role of his father, while Samuthirakani is playing a cousin to them. The trailer starts off with the relationship between Sasikumar, Sathyaraj and Samuthirakani and the fun interactions between the trio. We next see the romance between Sasikumar and Mirnalini Ravi, who became known among Tamil cinema fans after her debut in the hit, Super Deluxe. The MGR Magan trailer then progresses to introduce Sarkar villain Pala. Karuppiah into the story and the reason for his conflict with Sasikumar and Sathyaraj. Likewise, Saranya Ponvannan, Nandita Swetha, Singampuli, Mottai Rajendran, Ramachandran will also be appearing in pivotal roles in the film. 

MGR Magan is Sasikumar's second direct OTT release film after Udanpirappe, which came out recently on Amazon Prime Video. Touted to be an entertaining commercial film, the film also includes a talented technical team starting with the music composed by popular singer Anthony Daasan, followed by Vinoth Rathinasamy handling the cinematography, Vivek Harshan taking care of the editing and art direction by Durai Raj. Earlier this evening (June 14), Natural star Nani took to his official social media page to announce his next project and the announcement has created a huge buzz on social media. However, this is Nani's next film as a producer and not as an actor. Nani will be bankrolling this new project under his banner of Wall Poster Cinema, along with Prashanti Tipirneni and this is his fourth production venture. The film, which is titled Meet Cute, was officially launched this evening with a formal pooja. The highlight aspect of this film is that it will be directed by Deepthi Ganta, who happens to be Nani's sister. Deepthi Ganta will be making her directorial debut in Telugu cinema with this film and it is going to be an interesting movie to watch out for.

It is good to see Nani supporting her sister's vision and let us hope that the film strikes a chord with the audience. Meet Cute will feature Sathyaraj as one of the leads, while there are also reports which claim that Nivetha Thomas will be seen playing the other lead. The makers are yet to announce the lead cast of the film and we can expect those updates in the next few weeks. As an actor, Nani is awaiting the release of his next movie, Tuck Jagadish which is fully complete and ready for release. Once the Covid 19 situation comes under control in the country, Tuck Jagadish will be hitting the screens. Nani also has Shyam Singha Roy, which is directed by Rahul Sankrityan of Taxiwaala fame.
