National Award-winning Tamil actress Keerthy Suresh penned a strong note in support of Rashmika Mandanna after the recent deepfake controversy. The national sensation had earlier this week issued her statement after a deepfake video of her had taken social media by storm, with several leading names in the film fraternity raising their concerns over the technology posing the risk of identity theft, including iconic Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who sought for legal action. On late Wednesday evening, November 8, Keerthy Suresh took to X and wrote a powerful statement citing that the viral deepfake video is frightening adding that the individual behind it could have used the time for doing something productive. She further stated that the said technology should not create problems and pondered over whether it is a blessing or a menace, and urged the community to spread positivity and refrain from any such nonsense in the future.

Keerthy Suresh wrote, "The deep-fake video that’s going around is scary. I really wish the person who had done this could have rather used that time to do something productive and not put the people involved, into misery. I don’t understand if technology for us today is a boon or a bane. Let’s use this platform widely to only spread love, positivity, awareness, and information and not nonsense. Keerthy Suresh's statement comes after Rashmika wrote to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, the Cyberabad Police, and Maharashtra Cyber earlier this week on X, "I feel really hurt to share this and have to talk about the deepfake video of me being spread online. Something like this is honestly, extremely scary not only for me, but also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused. Today, as a woman and as an actor, I am thankful for my family, friends and well wishers who are my protection and support system. But if this happened to me when I was in school or college, I genuinely can’t imagine how could I ever tackle this.  We need to address this as a community and with urgency before more of us are affected by such identity theft." (sic)

Actress Rashmika Mandanna played the female lead in the film Varisu and shared screen space with 'Thalapathy' Vijay for the first time. The song Ranjithame was a dance number that featured the actress composed by Thaman S. It was an instant hit number and the hook step from the film was also recreated by many fans on social media. The Tamil, Telugu bilingual film was released in January and became one of the top films in the box office collection for the year. The film was directed by Vamshi Paidipally and the actress Rashmika Mandanna had expressed her admiration for the star actor Vijay from the pooja ceremony for the film.

Rashmika Mandanna has an exciting line-up of films in line including the Bollywood film Animal that she is acting in alongside Ranbir Kapoor. On Wednesday, Aishwarya clarified that she never meant to convey that she would do a better portrayal of Srivalli stating that the character would suit her well, with Rashmika now reacting to her press release. Taking to her Twitter page yesterday, the Varisu actress replied saying, "Hi love.. just came across this.. the thing is - I perfectly understood what you meant and I wish there were no reasons for us to explain ourselves and as you know I only and only have love and respect for you.. and ones again all the bestest for your film Farhana love .. 😄🤗❤️ (sic)".

Rashmika's response to Aishwarya Rajesh's statements has shown that all is well between the two stars nor there's any misunderstanding about the Srivalli character in Pushpa. Earlier this week, Aishwarya Rajesh addressed the controversy after her comments in an interview were misconstrued upon being asked about the kind of roles she would like to do in Telugu cinema. The Farhana actress in her press note wrote, "Talking about work, I was asked in a recent interview on the kind of roles I want to do in Telugu cinema. I replied that I like the Telugu film industry a lot and that I would certainly do Telugu films if I got roles that were to my liking. To cite an example, I said I liked the character of Srivalli in Pushpa a lot as I felt such characters would suit me. (sic)" She further added, "I wish to clear the confusion that seems to have ensued and clarify very clearly that I have nothing but profound admiration for Rashmika's work in the film and that I have immense respect for all my fellow actors and actresses. (sic)" Concluding her statement by appealing to those spreading gossip, Aishwarya Rajesh said, "At this point, I would like to request those peddling rumours to stop speculating and attributing malicious motives to a simple statement that I made while trying to explain the roles which I thought were of my kind. (sic)"

Mythri Movie Makers that backed the blockbuster hit film of last year Pushpa - The Rise have announced their next project. The project will be directed by Venky Kudumula, with Telugu actor Nithiin and well-known actress Rashmika Mandanna as the female Lead. The trio are joining together after the hit film Bheeshma was released in 2020. The announcement video also featured GV Prakash Kumar showing he will be the music director for the film. The short version of the announcement video posted on social media shows Rashmika Mandanna, Nithin and GV Prakash standing around a round table and the director approaches them saying a sorry for being late. Then as the director says The script the ready. The artists curiously ask him if it's an entertainer or a love story or a film like his previous projects and the Director says this will be different.

Leading Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan's next big venture, the highly-anticipated Telugu film, Sita Ramam, now has a release date. The upcoming film, an epic period love story set in the year 1964, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi of Padi Padi Leche Manasu (Sharwanand and Sai Pallavi-starrer) fame, will be coming to theatres worldwide on August 5, the blockbuster South Indian actor announced on social media on Wednesday. Dulquer, who will be seen sharing screen space with popular Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur and youth sensation Rashmika Mandanna in Sita Ramam, shared the film's release date motion poster on Twitter and wrote, "A love letter from the pages of history delivering soon to theatres near you…  #SitaRamam Worldwide Release On 𝐀𝐮𝐠 𝟓𝐭𝐡, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐 ♥️".

Sita Ramam, produced under the Swapna Cinema banner, is being presented by Vyjayanthi Movies, best known in recent years for their Mahanati, which earned Keerthy Suresh the National Award for Best Actress. Expectations for the period romance film have been high ever since the project was announced and will also show Dulquer in a Telugu-speaking role once again after Mahanati in 2018. Dulquer will be playing the role of Lieutenant Ram, while Mrunal is essaying the character Sita, followed by Rashmika as Afreen, who comes to their help in the quest for their love. 

Post the stellar reception to the film's teaser a while back, all sights are now set on the Sita Ramam official trailer, which is expected to be released in the days ahead as promotions will soon be kicking off now that the release date has been announced. The casting of Dulquer alongside Mrunal and Rashmika is an interesting mix and fans look forward to the trio delivering memorable performances. That is not all. It has also been announced that she is to star in Vamshi Paidipally project alongside Thalapathy Vijay in the tentatively titled Thalapathy66. Actor Parineeti Chopra was the first choice cast in the film, but she had to opt-out of the movie due to scheduling conflicts. As a result, Rashmika Mandanna was roped in to fill in the void. T-series took to social media to make the official announcement of Rashmika’s casting on their official Twitter account. The announcement read -- "On the auspicious occasion of Ugadi & Gudi Padwa, we welcome @iamRashmika to the team of #Animal! Shooting begins this summer."

The crime drama is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga of Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh fame and backed by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar’s T-Series, Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios, and Pranay Reddy Vanga’s Bhadrakali Pictures. The film will start its shoot sometime this summer and also stars esteemed actors, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol. The film is expected to release on 11 August 2023 as of now.

Other than that, Rashmika Mandanna is currently all set to make her big Bollywood debut with the spy thriller Mission Majnu in which she will be starring opposite Sidharth Malhotra. She will also be seen in another Hindi movie Goodbye alongside megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Ranbir Kapoor on the other hand just recently finished wrapping the shooting of his much talked about fantasy drama Brahmastra Part One: Shiva. He is also committed to taking on a role of a dacoit in Karan Malhotra's upcoming film Shamshera, alongside Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. He will also be acting with Ajay Devgn in Luv Ranjan's untitled action thriller.
