Prabhu Deva is a popular dancer who is well-known across India. He has acted in many films over the years and has made hit films as a director too. His recent film that was released was titled Bagheera which was directed by Adhik Ravichandran. His upcoming film is Flashback and his next project has been announced. The exciting new film that is set to go on the floor is titled after his evergreen famous song Petta Rap. The film is to be directed by popular Malaylam director SJ Sinu who has made films in Theru and Djibouti. The film will as feature actress Vedhika playing the female lead, she has acted in multiple south Indian languages including Tamil in films like Muni, Paradesi, etc. The actress is set to star along side actor Prabhu Deva in the film.

The makers have revealed the titles of the video with an announcement video of a city with a high-rise buildings and then shows a neon bill board featuring the title of the film Petta Rap with the caption “Sing, action, Dance repeat”. This shows that the film will be an action musical. It is to be produced by Jobi P Sam under the banner of Blue Hill Films in association with Blue Hill Nael Communication. The film will also give music composer by D. Imman. It is said that the film will go on floors this month. More updates about the project are expected soon.

The announcement of Petta Rap has created excitement as actor Prabhu Deva is collaborating with a Malayalam Film director for the Tamil film. The upcoming release of the actor Prabhu Deva is titled Flashback the trailer of the film was released in March and it also has Regina Cassandra, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Vijay Vishwa, Ilavarau and others in important roles, The film is directed by Don Sandy.

Prabhu Deva's long-awaited Bagheera directed by Trisha Illana Nayanthara fame Adhik Ravichandran is all set for its grand release on March 3. With promotions already underway, Prabhu Deva explained the process he had to undergo for his various looks in the film, while also talking about how Adhik convinced him for the lady getup. He explained, "When I first heard about it, it felt easy. But, when I had to transform into that character, there lied the challenge. You can put up several getups, but it all ultimately comes down to how you justify that. It was both challenging and interesting to me. All of this felt new. I thought about how that character, if ever real, would portray all these roles differently, and did the same." 

Upon being asked how he convinced Prabhu Deva that his name in the Bagheera trailer would appear as Prabhu Devi, director Adhik Ravichandran said, "In the beginning, when I told master (Prabhu Deva) that he would have to shave his head completely, he said makeup is enough. I figured out that it'll be difficult to ask him to do that and didn't pursue in the first and second schedules. After that, master said he'll shave his head completely because it was a torture to put on the makeup since it would take 3-4 hours and it would end up looking patchy and itch a lot. The big highlight for us was that master had never shaved his beard before. But, we made him shave his hair and beard completely. For the lady character, one night, I got an idea and went to his place to ask him and requested him to do it. He eventually agreed and we designed his look and gave him clothes for his character. Up until that day, everyone would be outside the set, but when they came to know that master was coming in a lady getup, everyone assembled inside the set."

Bagheera is an upcoming film with Prabhu Deva in lead role that's set to be released in theatres on March 3. The trailer of the film was released yesterday and shows the director, choreographer and actor taking multiple roles in the psycho-thriller flick. It's directed by the Thrish Illana Nayanthara fame Adhik Ravichandran and has many female actresses including Amyra Dastur, Sakshi Agarwal, Sonia Agarwal, Ramya Nambeesan, Janani, Sanchitha Sheety, Gayathrie Shankar, Pragathi with Sai Kumar and Nassar in supporting roles. The director and actor of the film gave an exclusive interview to Galatta ahead of the release of the film. 

In the interview, the director revealed an interesting insight based on which Prabhu Deva selects his films. He said it's a plus that the dance choreographer turned actor does not consider the previous films of the director while they approach him. The director Adhik Ravichandran said "he just came, saw and said ok". He added Prabhu Deva doesn't care if the previous film was a hit or a flop all he sees is talent. The actor then agreed to the director's comments saying "I don’t see their past, talent is main for me". The director said it's tough to find an actor like him in the industry.

The anchor then went on to question when will the viral combo of Vadivelu and Prabhu Deva reunite and come together in a film again, highlighting a recent photo of the combo that went viral. Prabu Deva replied, “I am also wish for the combo to come back”. When asked about the demise of comedians and his friends, Vivek and Mayilsamy. The actor said everybody was saddened by the demise of the comedians and he was on the same plane. He said "they both were great persons apart from being well-known people" in the film Industry. After a brief hiatus, Vadivelu is all set for his second innings and he has quite a few interesting projects in the kitty. Prabhu Deva's next is the fantasy comedy My Dear Bootham, which has him playing the role of a genie for the first time in his career. Directed by Manjapai and Kadamban fame N. Raghavan, the upcoming family entertainer has been produced by Ramesh P Pillai's Abhishek Films banner and features music by chart-buster composer D. Imman. With the My Dear Bootham first look unveiled recently, the makers on Thursday released the much-awaited 'Master Oh My Master' video song. Sung by Benny Dayal to the lyrics penned by Yugabharathi, the song is a dance number and is picturized on Prabhu Deva, who once again proves why he is the numero uno in dance in India. 

Apart from Prabhu Deva, the 'Master Oh My Master' video song also features popular child artiste Ashwanth Ashokkumar of Super Deluxe fame, who has been cast in a pivotal role in My Dear Bootham. Based on the song's lyrics, we can assume Ashwanth is the master and Prabhu Deva is the genie who serves his wishes. Touted to be a fun family film, My Dear Boothamalso includes Sethupathi heroine Remya Nambeesan as the female lead, with the supporting cast featuring model-actress Samyuktha Shanmughanathan of Bigg Boss Tamil season 4, who is appearing in a big role once again after 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi's Tughlaq Durbar. 

A few days back, the My Dear Bootham motion poster was released and teased plenty of magical elements that can be expected to be witnessed when the film arrives in theatres. The technical team in the film includes names like cinematographer U. K. Senthil Kumar, editor San Lokesh, art director A.R. Mohan, dialogues by Deva, Sridhar for the choreography, while G.N. Murugan has taken care of the stunt sequences.

Actor turned filmmaker Prabhu Deva has been on a signing spree of late and will next be seen in the much-awaited My Dear Bootham under Manjapai and Kadamban fame N. Raghavan's direction. Touted to be a fun-filled family entertainer, the upcoming film has Prabhu Deva playing the role of a genie, with the film produced by Ramesh P Pillai's Abhishek Films banner also starring Remya Nambeesan as the female lead. On Thursday, the My Dear Bootham motion poster was released showing Prabhu Deva as a genie in superhero attire, with the team also unveiling a still from the film featuring popular child artiste Ashwanth Ashokkumar of Super Deluxe fame. 

Prabhu Deva in the My Dear Bootham motion poster bears a resemblance to iconic Tamil actor Javar Seetharaman, who as well played the role of a genie in the 1967 blockbuster Pattanathil Bhootham. The first glimpse from the new film teases fans that there will be plenty of fun for audiences of all ages. My Dear Bootham's star cast also includes popular model-actress Samyuktha Shanmughanathan of Bigg Boss Tamil season 4 in a pivotal role and will be her next after she made an appearance in 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi's Tughlaq Durbar. 

Prabhu Deva's My Dear Bootham has a stellar technical team on board starting with chart-buster composer D. Imman, who will no doubt prove to be a big strength for the film, followed by cinematographer U. K. Senthil Kumar and editor San Lokesh. The film also includes A.R. Mohan as the art director, Deva for the dialogues, Yugabharathi penning the lyrics, Sridhar taking care of the choreography and G.N. Murugan taking care of the stunt sequences.

Prabhu Deva's long-awaited action drama, Pon Manickavel will finally release on November 19 and we are six days away from witnessing the film. Pon Manickavel will have a direct OTT release on the Disney Hotstar platform and it is going to be interesting to see how the film fares among the audience. Pon Manickavel will mark Prabhu Deva's first outing as a police officer and the film is expected to be a solid action entertainer. Produced by V Hitesh Jhabak under the banner of Nemichand Jhabak, the film features Nivetha Pethuraj as the female lead and has music composed by D Imman.

Directed by AC Mugil Chellappan of Kandaen fame, Pon Manickavel has late director J Mahendran and Suresh Menon in supporting roles. KG Venkatesh has shot this film which has editing by Shivanandeeswaran. Ahead of the film's release, the makers have now unveiled the video of the song, 'Uthira Uthira', featuring Prabhu Deva and Nivetha Pethuraj. The song has been treated in a sensuous manner as the video song captures the intimate romance between the lead pair. Nivetha Pethuraj looks beautiful and she anchors this video song with her screen presence. The chemistry between Prabhu Deva and Nivetha Pethuraj is neat.

The video song of 'Uthira Uthira' has been released on the official YouTube channel of Sony Music who has acquired the audio rights of the movie. Shreya Ghoshal's magical rendition in this song is a treat for music lovers and she is neatly supported by Sreekanth Hariharan and Maria Roe Vincent. Madhan Karky has penned the lyrics for the 'Uthira Uthira' song. D Imman is known for delivering super hit melody numbers and 'Uthira Uthira' will have an important place in that list. A few days before, we had reported that Prabhu Deva will be teaming up with director Santhosh P Jayakumar of Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu fame for a new film. The project is now officially confirmed. Yes! Earlier this morning (July 15), the project was officially launched with a formal pooja and the shooting has also begun. Prabhu Deva has teamed up with Santhosh P Jayakumar for the first time and this film will be produced by S Vinod Kumar under the banner of Mini Studios. Vinod is currently producing the Vishal - Arya starrer, Enemy, directed by Anand Shankar. Santhosh P Jayakumar, who is known for his adult comedy entertainers like Hara Hara Mahadevaki, Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuthu, Irandam Kuththu, is said to have penned an interesting action script this time for Prabhu Deva.

Bigg Boss Tamil sensation Raiza Wilson and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar would be seen playing the female leads in this film which will be an action-packed entertainer. D Imman will be scoring music for this untitled film which will have cinematography by Ballu. Santhosh P Jayakumar took to his official Twitter page to share the details regarding the film. A film in 2018 that was talked about among fans for its performances and music overall was the Prabhu Deva and Aishwarya Rajesh starrer Lakshmi. However, the biggest USP factor in the musical dance film written and directed by A. L. Vijay and featuring hit songs composed by Sam C.S was the 14-year-old Ditya Bhande, who was twelve years old when it hit theatres. Ditya is the title winner of the kids dance reality television show Super Dancer season 1 and also participated as one of the contestants in Dance India Dance season 7. 

Lakshmi went on to perform average at the box office, but was noted for Ditya Bhande's performance who enthralled fans with her dance skills on par with Prabhu Deva. In Lakshmi, Aishwarya Rajesh is a single mother who raises the 10-year-old Ditya and incidentally detests music and dance. On the contrary, the 10-year-old Lakshmi portrayed by Ditya has big dreams of winning the "Pride of Life India Jr." title in the national level dance competition. Ditya, around whom the story is centred around, goes on to treat audiences to her dance skills, especially in the peppy and foot-tapping "Morrakka Mattraakka" song sung by Unni Krishnan with the lyrics penned by by Madhan Karky. The song showed the young dancer-actress' proficiency and fetched her massive appreciation from fans who watched the film. 

Now, two years later, the "Morrakka Mattraakka" song from the Prabhu Deva, Aishwarya Rajesh and Ditya Bhande starrer Lakshmi still continues to be enjoyed, especially with the kids, with a video of a child dancing to it going viral on social media. Composer Sam C. S. took to his Instagram page to post the video of the child enjoying and dancing to the "Morrakka Mattraakka" song. In the video, we see the child emulating the dance moves until she goes on to tip over the television by trying to hold and hang on to it akin to the visuals of Ditya's spins and whirls. The video of the child enjoying the Lakshmi song has been receiving tremendous feedback from fans, who not only are appreciating the little bundle of joy, but also sympathize with her after the TV ends up falling to the ground towards the end.

Dance choreographer turned actor and director Raghava Lawrence is right now busy with the shooting of his next directorial, Laxmmi Bomb featuring Bollywood star Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. Laxmmi Bomb, which happens to be the Hindi remake of Lawrence’s horror comedy, Kanchana, is produced by Cape of Good Films and Tushar Entertainment House, in association with Shabinaa Entertainment and Fox Star Studios. The film also marks Lawrence’s Bollywood debut as a director.

The multi-faceted artist has now shared a new update from the sets of Laxmmi Bomb and it has gone viral among the fans. Prabhu Deva has met Lawrence at the sets of Laxmmi Bomb and the details behind the meeting is yet to be known. It isn’t clear if Prabhu Deva is choreographing a song in Laxmmi Bomb or if his directorial film, Radhe’s shooting was happening in the adjacent sets. Lawrence had earlier mentioned in many interviews that Prabhu Deva is an inspiration for him and now, his presence in the sets of Laxmmi Bomb must have come as a boosting factor.

Scheduled for a theatrical release on May 22, Laxmmi Bomb’s star cast also includes Tusshar Kapoor, Ashwini Kalsekar, Tarun Arora, Sharad Kelkar, Ragini Kulkarni, and others. Director Farhad Samji of Housefull 4 fame has penned the Hindi dialogues for this film. Laxmmi Bomb’s songs are composed by Manj Musik and Tanishk Bagchi, while the background score will be composed by John Stewart Eduri. Check out Lawrence’s tweet below:
