Blockbuster Tamil film producer S. Kathiresan of Five Star Creations has announced his next film after the spectacular success of Rudhran starring Raghava Lawrence and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead roles. Tentatively titled Production No. 11, a pooja ceremony was held on Thursday for the upcoming film, which saw leading Tamil actor-filmmaker M. Sasikumar and Telugu star Naveen Chandra grace the occasion, with iconic Tamil films producer-distributor Kalaipuli S. Thanu also taking part in the proceedings and wishing the team for a successful outing. Sasikumar and Naveen Chandra will be playing the lead roles in the yet-to-be-titled venture, which will be directed by RDM, whose last big film was Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban released in 2020, with veteran filmmaker Kasthuri Raja, father of actor Dhanush and director Selvaraghavan, also said to be a part of the project. 

Five Star Creations' S. Kathiresan, who had a good start to his 2023 with his directorial debut Rudhran, will be looking to one-up the year ahead with his production venture starring Sasikumar, who is fresh off the success of Ayothi, with his performance garnering him praise from all quarters, while Naveen Chandra is best known among Tamil cinema audiences for his role as the villain in Dhanush's 2020 hit, Pattas. No other cast and crew details for the film have been announced and the makers are expected to reveal more big names once the film begins rolling in the days ahead.

As Five Star Creations' Production No. 11 is now officially a go, producer S. Kathiresan will be looking to hit the bullseye once again, with the Sasikumar and Naveen Chandra-starrer expected to come out in 2024. The celebrated producer is now gearing up for his next big release, Jigarthanda DoubleX, which he is co-producing with Kaarthekeyen Santhanam's Stone Bench Films banner. The highly-anticipated film will be out in theatres this Diwali in November and stars Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah in the lead roles under Karthik Subbaraj's direction.

RS Durai Senthilkumar’s father Selvaraj died today due to a cardiac arrest. He was 67. It has been revealed that his last rites ritual and cremation will be held today at his native Karur in Tamil Nadu. 

RS Durai Senthilkumar is known among fans for having worked as an associate to National Award-winning filmmaker Vetri Maaran and had made his directorial debut in 2013 with Ethir Neechal, which starred Sivakarthikeyan, Priya Anand, and Nandita Swetha in the lead roles and was produced by Dhanush under the Wunderbar Studios banner. Durai Senthilkumar joined hands once again for the second time with Sivakarthikeyan and Dhanush's Wunderbar Studios for their Kaaki Sattai in 2015, which had Sri Divya playing the female lead. Post the first two films with Sivakarthikeyan as the lead, the hit director then made Kodi under Vetri Maaran's Grass Root Film Company banner and this time with Dhanush playing dual roles, alongside Trisha as the antagonist and Anupama Parameswaran as the heroine. Durai Senthilkumar’s martial arts film, Pattas, was his last, which hit screens earlier this year as a Pongal release and once again starred Dhanush in dual roles, with Sneha and Mehreen Pirzada as the female leads. 

The news of Durai Senthilkumar's father's death has further left many in the in Tamil film industry shattered, with heartfelt tributes being conveyed. Team Galatta offers its condolences to Durai Senthilkumar and his family at this hour of grief.

Dhanush's Pattas released as a Pongal treat on January 15 is a full-out action entertainer directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar and produced under the Sathya Jyothi Films banner. The film has Dhanush playing dual roles for the second time in his career after the 2016 super-hit film, Kodi, and on this occasion as father and son.

Pattas was given a 'U' certificate by the Censor Board ensuring it gets an all-age audience turnout with the film featuring chart-buster songs composed by the Vivek-Mervin duo. Prior to the film's release, the first song that was released from the Pattas album was 'Chill Bro' sung by Dhanush to the lyrics penned by composers Vivek Siva and Mervin Solomon. With the film currently running in theatres, the makers have now officially released the 'Chill Bro' video song, which has Dhanush reminding us the exceptional dancer he is.

Pattas has turned out to be a box office success for Dhanush and Sathya Jyothi Films, who will once again be collaborating for a new film under Ratsasan director Ramkumar next. Apart from Dhanush, Pattas also has Sneha and Mehreen Pirzaada as the female leads, Naveen Chandra playing the role of the antagonist and, Nasser and Munishkanth in major supporting roles.

Dhanush’s Pattas, which released last week for the festive occasion of Pongal, has put up a steady performance at the box office. The film has managed to hold good occupancy at the theatres with the support of the family audience and the festive mood has given the boost to the film’s performance. Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, Pattas featured Dhanush in dual roles, as a father and son. Dhanush’s Pattas which released three days back on the festive occasion of Pongal is having a good run at the box office. The film has got a fair welcome from the family audiences and the festive weekend has given the needed boost for the team. Directed by Durai Senthilkumar of Ethir Neechal and Kodi fame, Pattas features Dhanush in dual roles, as a father and son. The film talks about the ancient Tamil Nadu martial art form, Adimurai and it has been the talk of the K-town since the release. The makers have now released the video of the chartbuster song ‘Morattu Thamizhan Da’.

This fun-filled energetic number is composed and cronned by Vivek - Mervin, while the lyrics is penned by Mersal and Bigil sensation Vivek. The visuals look grand and classy and ample credits need to be given to cinematographer Om Prakash for that. Dhanush’s charismatic screen presence and energetic dance moves hold the video song.
