Suriya's NGK is a film that was widely talked about during the time of its release. The film opened to mixed reviews from the critics and fans, and it was also one of the movies which popularized the concept of decoding. NGK was directed by acclaimed filmmaker Selvaraghavan and had music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh played the female leads in the film. The political drama was bankrolled by SR Prakash Babu and SR Prabhu under the banner of Dream Warrior Pictures. Ever since the movie's release, the fans have been requesting the makers to release the deleted scenes on YouTube, but there were no positive developments.

Recently, the film's producer, SR Prabhu confirmed that the deleted scenes will never be released. He said that there is a reason for removing those sequences from the movie and the team took a conscious decision not to release those scenes on any platform.

Talking about it in a recent Twitter Spaces session (hosted on May 23, Sunday), SR Prabhu said, "The deleted scenes of NGK will not be released and I can confirm that. We had chopped some 40 minutes of scenes that we felt were not strongly connected to the film's main premise, so we deleted those scenes. The scenes were deleted for a reason and we consciously decided not to release those scenes anywhere after the movie's release. So, the NGK deleted scenes will never be released".

When another fan asked if the scenes were deleted by the production house, Prabhu denied the same and said that it was a director's call. "When you have a filmmaker like Selvaraghavan, there is no need for the production house to interfere. Removing the scenes was completely Selvaraghavan's final call", said Prabhu. For all those Suriya fans, who were expecting to see the deleted scenes of NGK someday, this news would come as a disappointment and several fans have already expressed their feelings about it on social media.

Suriya and director Selvaraghavan worked together in the political action drama, NGK which received mixed reviews from the critics and fans. The topic of decoding created a huge buzz during the time of the film’s release. NGK was a film that managed to create huge expectations among film buffs since it marked the first collaboration of a critically acclaimed director like Selvaraghavan with a star performer like Suriya. The film was produced by SR Prabhu and SR Prakash Babu under the banner of Dream Warrior Pictures and had music by Yuvan Shankar Raja who delivered an impressive album. The film featured Suriya playing the role of Nandha Gopala Kumaran, an aspiring politician who succeeds by defeating all the odds, thereby becoming the leader of a party.

Suriya is captured by popular photographer Sitrarasu who is a close friend of Ajith Kumar, currently working on films like Valimai, Sivakarthikeyan’s Doctor and more. Selvaraghavan is seen explaining Suriya on how he needs the poses and attitude to be and it is indeed a treat to the fans. It is great to see the two big talents work together and let us hope that they collaborate once again for something memorable. On the work front, Suriya is yet to finalize his 39th film, while his 40th film will be Vaadivaasal which will be directed by Vetri Maaran. Telugu superstar Allu Arjun and his father Allu Aravind recently launched their digital OTT streaming app, Aha, that will exclusively have only Telugu content. The app will majorly consist of Allu Arjun films, apart from various other biggies as well. There are also a few original web series contents that are getting ready to be streamed on Aha app. Meanwhile, it has now been officially revealed that the Telugu dubbed version of Suriya’s NGK will start streaming on Aha app from April 3, coming Friday.

This film, which was directed by Selvaraghavan, got mixed reviews from the critics and general audience. However, Suriya’s performance in the film was lauded by many and it showcased a different dimension of the actor inside him. Producer S.R.Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures, took to his Twitter space, to share this news officially.

Suriya has a huge fan base in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and they are now delighted upon hearing this update. NGK (Tamil) is streaming on Amazon Prime. Veteran actor Bala Singh has passed away. He was aged 67. The critically-acclaimed actor was admitted at the Vijaya Hospitals in Chennai a few days back after he suffered from food poisoning and passed away in the wee hours at 1AM in the morning today (27.11.2019) morning. His body will be placed at his home near the Virugambakkam police station after 10AM and then be taken to Nagercoil for the last rites. Bala Singh was known for his earnest performances and went on to garner a fan following of his own over the years for taking up roles as an antagonist apart from vital supporting characters.

Having made his acting debut in Tamil cinema in Nasser’s smash hit, Avatharam, Bala Singh’s second film was the Kamal Haasan biggie, Indian, after which he went on to star alongside ‘Thala’ Ajith in Raasi, Ullasam, Dheena and Kireedam. The versatile performer also had major starring roles in Sundhara Travels, Saamy and Bheema with ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram, Madhavan’s Nala Damayanthi, ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay’s Udhaya, Madhurey and Vettaikaaran, Pudhupettai with Dhanush, Naan Avanillai, Madrasapattinam, Simbu’s Osthe, Jigarthanda, Kurangu Bommai, Suriya’s Thaanaa Serndha Koottam and NGK, Sarvam Thaala Mayam and Magamuni.

Last seen in Arya’s Magamuni, Bala Singh is most remembered for his power-packed performances in director Selvaraghavan’s 2006 cult classic action gangster film, Pudhupettai, with Dhanush, Sneha and Sonia Agarwal and the political drama, NGK, starring Suriya, Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh, released earlier this year. It has come to light that the next project of Dream Warrior Pictures would be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual with Sharwanand and Ritu Varma in the lead. This movie, to be directed by debutante Shree Karthick, will have dialogues by Tharun Bascker Dhaassyam, who has earlier directed the National Award winning Telugu movie Pelli Choopulu. This as-yet-untitled project went on floors today, in Chennai. Jakes Bejoy, who has composed the music for a number of movies in Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil, would be scoring the music for this movie.

The technical crew of this new project would also have brothers Sujith and Sreejith Sarang. Sujith will be taking care of the cinematography while Sreejith is in-charge of the editing. As of now, we know that Vennela Kishore and Priyadarshi are a part of this movie's cast. The rest of the cast members are yet to be announced. Further details on this project are also awaited. NGK, the political action film written and directed by Selvaraghavan features Suriya, Sai Pallavi, and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. We had reported yesterday that filmmaker Selvaraghavan issued a challenge to fans to start decoding his latest film, NGK. The acclaimed director had asked fans to identify the exact moment when Suriya’s character Nandha Gopalan Kumaran transforms into NGK in the film. Sticking to his promise, Selvaraghavan has now acknowledged responses from fans giving his approval to a few starting with a follower’s reply that stated Suriya’s Nandha Gopalan Kumaran transformed NGK during the scene in the MLA hostel. Selvaraghavan then confirmed saying the sequence of Suriya holding himself from the insults of Ilavararu during the close up shot was the pivotal point in the film where he gets transformed as NGK.

Fans have flooded Selvaraghvan’s Twitter timeline with their suggestions and theories on the in-depth aspects in NGK ever since the day of its release two weeks back. The filmmaker has now issued yet another challenge regarding the film and the much-debated scene between Suriya’s NGK and Rakul Preet Singh’s Vanathi characters and their interaction at her penthouse.
