Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh has been having a dull year in Bollywood and he has been looking for good projects. Well, let us say the wait is over. Yes! Neil Nitin Mukesh will be playing the villain's role in Ilayathalapathy Vijay's upcoming movie directed by A.R. Murugadoss. Reportedly, Neil had met Murugadoss and stated that is keen on working on this project.

A.R. Murugadoss has confirmed this news on twitter. His post read, “Yesssss…..Neil is playing villain in our new film….!”

Deepika Padukone on working with Neil Nitin Mukesh and Imran Khan

Deepika Padukone and Neil Nitin Mukesh, who are shooting together, just can't get enough of complimenting each other.

Says Deepika, "Neil is such a well brought-up guy, absolutely impeccable in his manners. Besides being a brilliant actor, he's also a great technician. I see him turning director soon. My other co-star Imran Khan in Break Ke Baad is great fun too. We shot in Delhi and bonded immediately."

Speaking of Imran, there was talk of Deepika deliberately working with Ranbir Kapoor's immediate rival after their break.

The actress flares up. "No one tells me what to do and what not to do. My personal life has nothing to do with my professional. Imran is a wonderful co-star. I like working with actors who are fun yet professional, like Akshay, Imran, Neil and Abhishek Bachchan."

Ask her about the linkup with Vijay Mallya's son and Deepika sighs, "Can't I be seen with the people I'm working with without being linked to them? Not too many people know this. But Siddharth Mallaya actually runs the whole IPL show for his father. So it was natural for me to celebrate with him when our team won a match. Anyway the IPL season is now over. So I guess that rumour will end."

Deepika is very happy about her roles so far. "Housefull was a new experience. I had to do comedy. Like Akshay Kumar, I chose to do a more subtle comedy in Housefull. For me, being funny doesn't mean screaming and rolling my eyes. Now I've three films that are about to be completed. Ashutosh Gowariker's Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey, Pradeep Sarkar's Lafangey Parindey and Danish Aslam's Break Ke Baad. Let's see which comes next."

Apparently, Neil is so protective of Deepika that he gets tensed every time she has to perform a stunt sequence. "It's very sweet of him. But I insist on doing what I want to. Neil does get tensed up."

Neil Nitin Mukesh chosen as brand ambassador for Oxemberg suitings

For those who thought that a doctor's son will go onto become a doctor, an engineer's son will become an engineer, here is a man who went on to prove them wrong! He is none other than the Bollywood's literal blue-eyed boy Neil Nitin Mukesh, son of the illustrious singer Nitin Mukesh.

Having made his debut in Johnny Gaddaar, Neil showed�the industry what superstars are made up of! Neil made his mark in the industry, not just with his talent, but also with his Greek looks. No wonder�he became an instant hit even with the ad wallahs. After having endorsed FMCGs like shoes and watches, Neil has now been chosen as the Brand Ambassador for Oxemberg suitings. Speaking about this deal, Prasad Shetty, (President Sales and Mktg, Oxemberg) said, "We chose Neil for the reason that he is simply a youth style icon and the teenage heart-throb. Not just that, he is also a well established star. And since our brand Oxemberg is positioned as 'Body Music', it aims and creates clothes that are music to an individual's body. And because of his (Neil's) music lineage, he simply fitted in the slot to a T."

Looking at his endorsement spree, it seems like Neil is all set to take the ad world by storm. What say, Neil!

Neil Nitin Mukesh as Priyanka's husband in Saat Khoon Maaf

While Naseeruddin Shah at 60 would be Priyanka Chopra's oldest husband in Saat Khoon Maaf (earlier entitled Ek Batta Saath), Neil Nitin Mukesh has just been signed to play her youngest husband.

Though age-wise, Neil is a few months older than Priyanka, Neil, it is reliably learnt, initially felt he would look incompatible with her.

Says a source, "Neil didn't want another situation like Aa Dekhen Zara where everyone commented on how incompatible Bipasha and he looked. At the same time, he's a big fan of Priyanka's work. So when he heard that his colleague Ranbir Kapoor was working with Priyanka and prepared himself to match Priyanka's maturity level (Ranbir has a�stubbled, lean red-eyed look in Anjaana Anjaani), Neil was game for it."

Neil's character will require a heavy physical transformation. He will apparently be unrecognizable on screen.

Says Neil from the location for Yashraj Films' Lafange Parinday, "When I heard the script, I was zapped. This was something I had to do. I play one of Priyanka's husbands, the youngest of the lot. The fact that I get to be in the same film as actors like Naseeruddin Shah and Mohanlalji was incentive enough. I read even Irrfan Khan is in the film." (However sources close to the project deny Irrfan's casting).

While all the actors playing Priyanka's husbands (and these include an unknown American actor) have been finalized, the seventh actor is yet to be finalized.

Neil starts shooting for Saat Khoon Maaf from April. "I've a somewhat crowded date diary this year. I join Abbas-Mustan from June to December for The Italian Job."

Neil, who moved to Powai to be near Yashraj Studios to avoid the daily traffic to and from South Mumbai, is wondering if he made the right move.

"The traffic on that side of town is just as bad. It's excruciating to travel even from Powai to Yashraj Studios. On Thursday, I had a day off and I invited my mom over to do up my new home the way I wanted it."

Neil, who has been a part of a joint family household all his life, says he has no time to miss his family in Powai. "Because I use that old flat of ours only to sleep... alone!"
