Blockbuster Tamil film producer S. Kathiresan of Five Star Creations has announced his next film after the spectacular success of Rudhran starring Raghava Lawrence and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead roles. Tentatively titled Production No. 11, a pooja ceremony was held on Thursday for the upcoming film, which saw leading Tamil actor-filmmaker M. Sasikumar and Telugu star Naveen Chandra grace the occasion, with iconic Tamil films producer-distributor Kalaipuli S. Thanu also taking part in the proceedings and wishing the team for a successful outing. Sasikumar and Naveen Chandra will be playing the lead roles in the yet-to-be-titled venture, which will be directed by RDM, whose last big film was Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban released in 2020, with veteran filmmaker Kasthuri Raja, father of actor Dhanush and director Selvaraghavan, also said to be a part of the project. 

Five Star Creations' S. Kathiresan, who had a good start to his 2023 with his directorial debut Rudhran, will be looking to one-up the year ahead with his production venture starring Sasikumar, who is fresh off the success of Ayothi, with his performance garnering him praise from all quarters, while Naveen Chandra is best known among Tamil cinema audiences for his role as the villain in Dhanush's 2020 hit, Pattas. No other cast and crew details for the film have been announced and the makers are expected to reveal more big names once the film begins rolling in the days ahead.

As Five Star Creations' Production No. 11 is now officially a go, producer S. Kathiresan will be looking to hit the bullseye once again, with the Sasikumar and Naveen Chandra-starrer expected to come out in 2024. The celebrated producer is now gearing up for his next big release, Jigarthanda DoubleX, which he is co-producing with Kaarthekeyen Santhanam's Stone Bench Films banner. The highly-anticipated film will be out in theatres this Diwali in November and stars Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah in the lead roles under Karthik Subbaraj's direction. 

In another big blow from the world of entertainment, young Kannada filmmaker Naveen passed away due to COVID-19 complications recently. He was 36. Naveen's health had taken a turn for the worse after he contracted the virus, with the news of his sudden demise leaving many shocked in the Kannada film industry. His mortal remains were isolated with proper protocols followed for the cremation at his hometown Madhya in Karnataka. Naveen made his filmmaking debut in 2011 with the film titled One Day, which had Appu Venkatesh and Revanna in the lead roles. 

Naveen is the latest among the victims from the entertainment industry to fall prey to COVID-19 after several notable names passed away after contracting the virus, which has claimed more than 200,000 lives across India and 32,00,000 worldwide. Besides Naveen, several prominent personalities from Karnataka who succumbed to COVID-19 include veteran actor Hulivan Gangadharaiah, poster designer and director Mastan, and actor-producer Dr DS Manjunath. Last week, reputed Kannada film producer Ramu, who had produced some of the biggest mainstream blockbusters with top stars, had also passed away due to the novel coronavirus. The second COVID-19 wave has seen more than 3 lakh deaths so far, with Karnataka now one of the worst-hit states in the country and its capital Bengaluru alone recording 20,000 cases over the past few days. 

Meanwhile, a number of big names from the South Indian entertainment industry have made a good recovery after testing positive for COVID-19. Some of the popular names to have recovered include 'Mega Star' Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Pooja Hegde, director Lokesh Kanagaraj, Tamannaah, and many others. 

A film that has raised plenty of curiosity among fans, Alaudhinin Arputha Camera, the upcoming fantasy adventure action drama thriller has been written, directed and produced by Naveen. M of Moodar Koodam fame.

Naveen will be seen in the lead role alongside Anandhi of Kayal fame and Natarajan Sankaran scoring the music for Alaudhinin Arputha Camera with the film's trailer released a while back going on to attain the distinction of being the first ever in the world to be unveiled on YouTube in 4K HDR Technology.

Shot predominantly at locations in Switzerland, Germany, Croatia, Slovenia and Ukraine and being distributed by Sakthi Film Factory, a promo video for the first single track in Alaudhinin Arputha Camera titled “Ivane Ivane Hero” has been released and can be watched below:

Lahari Recording Company Naveen enters wedlock

Naveen, a professional in animation technology, the third generation in the Lahari Recording Company family, was married to Shravanthi recently. The marriage celebration went on for three days – 28th, 29 and 31st May 2011.

Prior to 28th May, the music was a treat for family members of both the families. G. Manohar Naidu, Thulsiram Naidu alias Velu and two more brothers danced for ‘Mutta Mesthri’ song to ‘Prema Loka’ when they arrived in style.

RJ Prithvi anchored the event and brought cheer to the faces of all. For the first 'Shravanthi', the bride’s side practised for 30 hours in the last 15 days and gave an entertaining musical performance.

The Lahari brothers made a grand opening for the sangeeth evening from the bridegroom’s side at Chancery Pavilion.

For the wedding reception on 29th, Karnataka Home Minister Ashok, film industry personalities and musicians gathered for the lovely treat at Bangalore Palace.

Union Minister K.H. Muniyappa graced the cocktails and dinner hosted by the Lahari Recording Company on 31st at White Petals of Bangalore Palace.
