Sun TV, one of the most popular satellite television channels from South India, has already begun promoting its Pongal lineup. From these Pongal special telecast line-up, we come to know that they have planned an amazing array of movies for their audiences.
This year's Pongal holidays have come together to form a big and lengthy time off from work for many people and they are sure to have a great time with their families. Watching movies on TV channels at home as a family, is something which people do commonly. Sun TV is premiering some biggies along with re-telecasting a couple of other biggies which have already premiered on the channel! Thalapathy Vijay's Bigil, which is one of the biggest hits of 2019, is headlining the Pongal programs on Sun TV. It will be telecast at 18:30, on January 15th.

Prince Sivakarthikeyan's blockbuster family drama Namma Veettu Pillai is yet another movie which is going to be telecast on Sun TV, on January 16th at 18:30. Vijay Sethupathi's Sangathamizhan will also be premiering on Sun TV on January 17th at 18:30. Last year Pongal's theatrical releases - Viswasam and Petta, are both coming together on Sun TV, for this Pongal! Thala Ajith's Viswasam and Superstar Rajinikanth's Petta, which have already premiered on Sun TV, will also be telecast for this year's Pongal on January 18th and January 19th, respectively! Sun TV is sure going all out to entertain their audiences, for this coming Pongal! Get set to have a gala time!

Sivakarthikeyan's Namma Veettu Pillai emerged as a successful venture at the box office, thanks to the extensive support from the family audiences. The film worked well among the masses for its neatly handled emotions and convincing performances. Produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Pandiraj, the film also featured Aishwarya Rajesh and Anu Emmanuel as the other leads. Sun Pictures has hit the bullseye with their last release, the Sivakarthikeyan starrer, Namma Veettu Pillai. An emotional drama film, Namma Veettu Pillai is the second occasion director Pandiraj of Kadaikutty Singam fame and Sivakarthikeyan teamed up again after their Marina in 2012. The film released in theatres worldwide on September 27 has since gone on to become a commercial and critical success with many showering praises on the screenplay, the performances of the entire cast and the music composed by D. Imman. With the film’s songs and scenes being released one by one, the much-awaited ‘Unkoodave Porakkanum’ video song is now out on Sun TV’s official YouTube channel.

Sung by Sid Sriram with lyrics penned by GKB, the ‘Unkoodave Porakkunam’ song featured primarily on Sivakarthikeyan and Aishwarya Rajesh as siblings is one of the most popular songs of the year. Sun Pictures’ next big project, Namma Veettu Pillai, has arrived on screens worldwide starting today and is the reputed production banner’s next big venture after Vijay's Sarkar came out last year and Rajinikanth's Petta earlier in January. Director Pandiraj is making his comeback after last year’s blockbuster, Kadaikutty Singam, with Namma Veettu Pillai, coming under the family drama genre featuring a massive star cast starting with Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, Aishwarya Rajesh as his sibling and Anu Emmanuel as the lead heroine. With the film out in theatres starting today, Sun Pictures is carrying forward with extensive promotions and have now released yet another new promo.
