Tamil composer turned actor Vijay Antony's next big film Romeo is gearing up for a grand theatrical outing this April as a Ramzan release. The upcoming film marks the big directorial debut of Vinayak Vaithianathan and features Mirnalini Ravi of Super Deluxe (2019), Enemy (2021), and Cobra (2022) fame playing the female lead. With only a few days left for the release, the makers of Romeo have now released the film's much awaited trailer giving viewers a glimpse at Vijay Antony and Mirnalini Ravi, and the massive fun-filled entertainment that awaits them on the big screen. 

The Romeo trailer starts off with Vijay Antony and Mirnalini Ravi's engagement ceremony. We then see Vijay Antony seeking VTV Ganesh's advise on one-side love and Yogi Babu also making an appearance as a DJ at a dance club. There are visuals showing Vijay Antony delighted and smiling at the prospect of a happy married life, while Mirnalini is seen expressing her regret and asking for a divorce. The Romeo trailer then goes on to show the various stages and the issues in the relationship between Vijay Antony and Mirnalini after their marriage, and the film looks to be high on entertainment based on the latest visuals unveiled. 

There is a positive buzz surrounding Romeo and the trailer released now will no doubt add to the excitement ahead of the film's release next month. Apart from Vijay Antony and Mirnalini Ravi as the lead pair, the other big USP of the film is the ensemble cast that also features the likes of Ilavarasu, Thalaivasal Vijay, Sudha, and Sreeja Ravi alongside VTV Ganesh and Yogi Babu, who are expected to keep the fun going throughout the narrative. Vijay Antony, who is acting in the lead role in Romeo, is also the editor and the film will feature music composed by Barath Dhanasekar, while the technical team includes cinematographer Farook J Basha, and art director S. Kamala Nathan.

A film that has sky-high expectations among fans right from the moment of its announcement earlier this month, the upcoming Vishal-Arya multi-starrer is being directed by Arima Nambi, Iru Mugan and NOTA fame Anand Shankar. Being produced by S Vinodkumar's Mini Studios Productions banner, the yet-to-be-titled film will mark the second occasion both Vishal and Arya will be seen sharing screen space together after their Avan Ivan in 2011 under Bala's direction.

The Vishal-Arya starrer tentatively being called Vishal 30 and Arya 32 is incidentally also Mini Studios' ninth venture and their fourth Tamil film in a row. Currently being shot at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad, the makers have now officially announced that actress Mirnalini Ravi has joined the film’s sets and is playing the female lead opposite Vishal, while Arya is said to be the antagonist. Mirnalini Ravi shot to fame across Tamil Nadu with her lip sync videos on popular apps like dubsmash and Tik Tok, eventually landing her first role in the 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi, Samantha Akkineni and Fahadh Faasil starrer, Super Deluxe. Although she had little screen time, Mirnalini's role was a crucial one in the Thiagarajan Kumararaja-directed black comedy-drama film, which earned massive critical acclaim. Post Super Deluxe, Mirnalini appeared in the Susienthiran starrer Champion and is set to be seen next in 'Chiyaan' Vikram's Cobra, MGR Magan opposite Sasikumar, including the science-fiction thriller Jango being produced by CV Kumar's Thirukumaran Entertainment banner. 

Ace cinematographer RD Rajasekar has been roped in for the Vishal-Arya film, which also includes music by current South Indian sensation S. Thaman, whose popularity shot up after his phenomenal chart-busters in Telugu superstar Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo earlier this year. There is also a strong talk doing the rounds as reports state actress Sameera Reddy has been cast in a role in the film, with an official announcement expected to be made soon.

Recently, the title of Chiyaan Vikram’s 58th film was revealed to be Cobra and we also saw a very intriguing motion poster. A.R.Rahman’s arresting background score created a curiosity among the fans and it definitely showed a sense of promise. Directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu of Demonte Colony and Imaikkaa Nodigal fame, Cobra features KGF fame Srinidhi Shetty as the female lead. Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan will be seen in a vital character and this film will mark his silver screen debut.

The makers have now roped in the young and talented Mirnalini Ravi to play an important role in the film. Mirnalini who rose to fame with her dubsmash videos ventured into cinema with Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s acclaimed directorial, Super Deluxe. She was last seen as the female lead in director Suseenthiran’s Champion. The team of Cobra celebrated the New Year on their sets and the pictures from the celebration have been doing the rounds on social media. Mirnalini was spotted in those pictures and this has indeed confirmed presence in the film.

Another information is that there has been a change in the cinematographer for this action thriller. Initially, Iraivi and NGK fame Sivakumar Vijayan was signed as the cinematographer, but now, he has been replaced by a newcomer, Harish Kannan. The announcement of Harish’s inclusion was made by the production house, last month. The film is scheduled to hit the screens in Summer 2020.

Director Suseenthiran is yet to get a breakthrough in his recent past as his last five films got mixed and negative reviews from the critics. However, the director has shown promise with his next outing, Champion, which features newcomer Vishwa and dubsmash fame Mirnalini Ravi in the lead roles. Actors Manoj Bharathiraja, Narain, and Jayaprakash form the supporting cast in this football based sports action drama. The team has now released the song 'Manathin Saalaiyil', which is composed by the young and talented Arrol Corelli.

He has also sung this number that is penned by Viveka. The visuals of this song will capture the montage romantic sequences between Vishwa and Mirnalini. The song has got a favourable reception from the audience on YouTube. The film's trailer which released a few days back was quite promising and if the film happens to be as good as the trailer, we can expect the film to do good business at the box office.
