Pulikkuthi Pandi is the next venture from Sun Entertainment that will have a direct television release. During this pandemic and Covid times, leading television network Sun TV decided to acquire the rights and release films directly on their television channel without having the theatrical release. We had seen the Prasanna starrer Naanga Romba Busy, produced by Sundar C, having a direct television release and it premiered on Diwali day on Sun TV. The film released on Sun NXT streaming platform the next day. Pulikkuthi Pandi is the next film in the pipeline and it is all set to have its premiere for the festive occasion of Pongal. Pulikkuthi Pandi will be aired on January 15, coming Friday, at 6.30 PM on Sun TV.

Details regarding the digital release is yet to be known, but it is more or less expected to release on January 16. Pulikkuthi Pandi is directed by Muthaiya who is known for his rural action entertainers like Kuttipuli, Komban, Marudhu, Kodiveeran, Devarattam, etc. The film features Vikram Prabhu in the titular role and Lakshmi Menon as the female lead. Notably, the film marks Lakshmi Memnon’s comeback to Tamil cinema after a long gap. Singam Puli, KPY Dheena, Vela Ramamoorthy, Samuthirakani, play supporting roles.

Ahead of the premiere, the makers have now released the trailer of the film. The trailer doesn’t leave a strong impact on the audience because of the fact that we have seen similar shots, sequences and premise in some of the earlier films made by Muthaiya. The audience feels that there is nothing fresh or new about the trailer of Pulikkuthi Pandi and it looks like director Muthaiya has made a film that seems to be in his comfort zone. However, Vikram Prabhu is full of energy and shows good promise as the angry young man, Pulikkuthi Pandi.

It has been quite some time since we saw Vikram Prabhu in a complete rural film and hence the makeover looks interesting. Lakshmi Menon also impresses with her screen presence, despite coming only for a short time in the trailer. The fans will surely be excited to see Lakshmi Menon back on screen after a few years. The film is touted to be high on action and the trailer is also suggestive of that. Let us wait until January 15 to see how the film is received by the Tamil audience. Valentines Day always has a special place in the hearts of many so do the celebs. In an exclusive interview, we asked Nadigar Sangam's Gen Sec Vishal on his dream date plan. Surprisingly, Vishal pointed out the name of his Pandianadu costar Lakshmi Menon as his ideal date for this V-Day. Interestingly, when we said the same to Lakshmi Menon, the pretty actress was puzzled and was running short of words to explain.

The music album of Prashanth starrer Saahasam was launched recently. The film has five mesmerizing tracks composed by S. Thaman among which one song is sung by the Vaalu actor STR and Lakshmi Menon. The makers of the film have also roped in Anirudh Ravichander to croon for an energetic song.

The other tracks are sung by most celebrated Indian singers such as Mohit Chauhan, Shreya Goshal, Shankar Mahadevan and Vijay Prakash. The visuals of the songs have been shot in Malaysia and Japan. Interestingly, Narkis Fakhri has dances in the item song Desi Girl. In a grand function held in Malaysia, actor Prashanth released the film's promo song Sayang Ku, which is already trending on the internet.

Produced by Thiagarajan, Prashanth's father, the film is directed by a debutante Arun Raj Varma. The film is the remake of Allu Arjun's Telugu super hit film Julayee. The beautiful Amanda pairs with the actor, while the supporting cast includes Nasser, John Vijay, Bollywood's Sonu Sood, Thambi Ramaiah, Devardarshini, M. S. Baskar and many others.

Vishal and Lakshmi Menon paired up for Suseenthiran’s Pandiya Naadu which went on to rock the box office. Their sizzling chemistry in the film created a stir in the industry. The couple once again starred in Naan Sigappu Manithan.

The latest update is that the two actors is all set to come together for the third time. This film will be directed by Suseenthiran. The film will go on floors by 2016 as Vishal, Lakshmi Menon and Suseenthiran are busy with their current projects.

We hear that the shooting of the film will be held in Ramanathapuram and the actor will be seen in a rural get up. It is said that the actors have given bulk dates for the film so that the film can be completed at a stretch.

Jigarthanda is the second outing of the Pizza director Karthik Subbaraj. Jigarthanda is said to be a musical gangster film having Siddharth and Lakshmi Menon in the lead. The trailer and the audio of the film were launched recently and the album is receiving good reviews.

The lead actress Lakshmi Menon opened up during a recent press meet and said that she had missed out on being present at the audio launch as she had her 11th standard annual exams.
