Tamil filmmaker Elan hit the bullseye in his directorial debut, Pyaar Prema Kaadhal (2018), and is all set to come out with his next big film, the much awaited Star, which has Kavin, Aaditi Pohankar, and Preity Mukhundhan cast in the lead roles. The upcoming film will feature music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who previously delivered chart-topping hit songs and a memorable background score in Pyaar Prema Kaadhal. With Yuvan's work in Star already gaining momentum ahead of the film's theatrical release, Elan has now in a candid conversation with National Award-winning film critic Baradwaj Rangan, the Editor-in-Chief of Galatta Plus, opened up on how he and the hit music director work together, while also revealing that they referred to the background score of the British war film 1917 (1919) for the Kavin-starrer. 

Speaking about how Yuvan and he worked on the songs and the background score in Star, Elan said, "Personally I have a liberty with him where we do a lot of brainstorming at first and then we share many references. We discuss the mood and he will take the necessary inputs. Especially, for the 'Star In The Making' tune, he gave a tune first called 'Harmony of Hearts'. It was superb and I liked it a lot. But, I felt that it need not be used for the 'Star In The Making' song promo. The only thing he asked me was 'why'? When he asks, all you need to do is answer correctly. So, I said, 'I want it to be a little painful and darker,' and he gave me this song an hour later. However, since that tune was also wonderful, we've used that too." 

In regard to an example of a temp track Yuvan has used in Star, Elan informed that they had referred to a background score from the Oscar-winning film, 1917. He explained, "Towards Star's climax, there's one BGM. It's an eight-minute orchestral score and we used 1917 (2019) as a reference. We both watched the film together long back. When we were watching, I asked him whether he could do a background score like the one in the film. I usually speak openly with him. And, he said he can do it provided such a situation presents itself. So, for the climax of Star, I suggested that as a reference and asked him for the score to be in the same mood. If you ask me as a fan, I'll say that he has delivered it."

Lift, a thrilling horror flick, was a breakthrough movie for the actor, in which he shared screen space with Amritha Aiyer. The recent film of the actor Dada with debut director Ganesh K. Babu has become a blockbuster hit. The film had a huge cast that included Aparna Das and Bhagyaraj, VTV Ganesh and others share screen space with the actor. He also has a couple of exciting upcoming films including the yet-to-be titled film directed by popular dance master Sathish. The film will also have music composed by Anirudh Ravichander and produced by Romeo Pictures. The actor is also doing a film with director Elan of Pyaar Prema Kaadhal fame.

Kavin is an upcoming actor who has acted predominantly in Tamil language films. The actor became famous as a lead of a Television soap opera and a Bigg Boss contestant and grew to be a hero in films Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma and Lift. The actor’s latest theatrical release is the hit film Dada that got positive feedback from reviewers, movie-goers and fans. It had Aparna Das as the female lead and was released on 10th February. One month after its theatrical release, the film is set to make its OTT premiere on Prime Video today. 

Kavin has posted a video on social media, ahead of Dada's OTT release, that has been going viral. In the video, the actor said “Dada Movie is set to release on Prime Video today, the support that people gave in theatres was bigger than what we expected. We were confident that we have done is a good film and we believed that people will accept good films. On the release of the film, I said that it was my 12 years dream and it has come true". The actor then went on to thank the production house that backed the film Olympia Movies, distributor Red Giant Movies, press and media and those who went to the theatres to watch the film. "This is a proof that people will always support good films. I believe Dada will get a good viewership in OTT too", said the actor. He ended the video saying "I would like to sign off by saying, I will continue to be part of good films that entertains people. Dada on Prime Video from today".

Dada was directed by debut director Ganesh K Babu. The coming-of-age drama flick has music composed by a debut talent Jen Martin and has DOP by Ezhil Arasu K, with Kathiresh Alagesan as Editor and Shanmugaraja handling Art. the lead of the film Kavin has signed with Rowdy Pictures for his next project titled Oor Kuruvi.

Dada is a recent hit film featuring Bigg Boss fame Kavin and Aprana Das in lead roles. The film has been the talk of the town and got positive feedback from critics and movie buffs alike. It was directed by debut director Ganesh K Babu under the banner of Olympia Movies banner. Actor Karthi who is known for taking up different scripts and roles in his career and encouraging upcoming talents has recently shared his thoughts about the film. He posted on Twitter that he “Finally watched Dada. What a great film! So happy to see such good writing and filmmaking. Great performance by everyone.” The actor then said about Kavin who played the film's lead ”It was such a beautiful and complete performance”. He continued to congratulate the team and added “very proud of you guys”.

The lead actor of Dada, Kavin, retweeted the tweet and mentioned that actor Karthi had also called him and spoke about the film. Kavin revealed that the popular actor said “I will remember this film” and added he will remember that the the actor said this forever. The actor also added a quirky hashtag to the Tweet saying #Vaazhga Valamudan Vandhiyatheva (long live Vandhiyatheva). Kavin also received many praises for his acting in his pervious film Lift and his next is set to be a film called Oor Kuruvi that ls produced by Rowdy Pictures and directed by Arun K.

Bigg Boss Tamil 3 sensation Kavin is making his digital debut in the upcoming aha Tamil web series, Akash Vaani, opposite Bigil fame Reba Monica John. Enoc Able, a former associate of blockbuster Tamil filmmaker Atlee, is making his directorial debut with the web series already creating a lot of positive buzz in the trade and on social media. With the first look for the highly-anticipated web series getting released a few days back to a rousing response from fans, aha Tamil has released the much-awaited Akash Vaani trailer on Monday. 

The Akash Vaani trailer starts off in a college backdrop, with hero Kavin and heroine Reba being introduced alongside their wacky batch of friends and sidekicks. The glimpse progresses to Kavin trying to woo Reba and the couple coming together, while their friends join in on the fun together. They all complete their graduation eventually and Kavin and Reba tie the knot, with the couple then sharing joyous and emotional moments together before tragedy strikes. What those situations are and their resulting outcomes are not revealed in the Akash Vaani trailer, but the visuals tease a balance of fun and drama that will cater to audiences of all ages. 

Not much was revealed about the story up until now and the Akash Vaani trailer has no doubt shed plenty of light on what fans can expect when the web series premieres on February 11 ahead of Valentine’s Day celebrations. The fun romantic drama is targeted towards the youth and the pairing of Kavin and Reba is no doubt the biggest USP as both are exhibiting great chemistry in the latest glimpse. Akash Vaani is Kavin's next big venture after his Lift, which had Amritha Aiyer, who also played a pivotal role in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Bigil. Produced by Kaustubha Mediaworks, the technical team for the web series has Yennanga Sir Unga Sattam fame Guna Balasubramanian for the music, while cinematography and editing are done by Santhakumar Chakravarthy and Kalaivanan, followed by art direction by Gopi Anand, and costume design by Praveen Raja.

Bigg Boss sensation Kavin who was last seen in Lift has starred alongside Bigil fame Reba Monica John in a new web series titled Akash Vaani which will be released on Aha Tamil. Aha is a popular Telugu OTT platform owned by veteran producer Allu Aravind and after making a successful mark in the Telugu industry, the streaming service is all set to venture into Tamil and Akash Vaani will be their first original content. Earlier this evening (February 1), the official teaser of the series was unveiled and it has opened to a fairly good response from the audience.

The teaser introduces us to the two central characters - Akash (Kavin) and Vaani (Reba Monica John) and the series will revolve around the duo's relationship. From what we see it looks like Akash Vaani will be a romantic drama that will appeal well among the youngsters. Kavin looks charming and his vibrant energy is seen throughout the trailer. Reba Monica John seems to have delivered an impressive performance. Apart from the main leads, the series also has Sharath Ravi, Deepak Paramesh, Vinsu Rachel Sam, Deeprajan, Ajay Melvin, Abitha Venkataraman, Margaret Divya, Livingston, Kavithalayaa Krishnan, Shankar Sundaram in supporting roles.

The shooting of the series is fully complete and the final leg of post production is happening in full swing. Though the makers are yet to divulge the release date, it is likely that the series will release ahead of the Valentines Day weekend on Aha Tamil. Akash Vaani is directed by Enoc Able, a former associate of director Atlee. Produced by Kaustubha Mediaworks, Akash Vaani has cinematography handled by Santhakumar C and music composed by Guna Balasubramaniam of Yennanga Sir Unga Sattam fame. Apart from Akash Vaani, Aha Tamil is also making several other original contents (web series and direct OTT movies) which would release one after other, starting from Akash Vaani.

On Saturday, leading Tamil actor Arya took to social media to unveil the much-awaited Akash Vaani first look that features both Kavin riding a bike and Reba Monica John on the pillion, with the couple all smiles amidst a background resembling the India Gate in New Delhi and the text 'romantic reunion' painted on the road. 

Up until now, not much has been revealed about Akash Vaani part from the web series set to be a fun show targeted especially towards the youth. Touted to be a romantic drama, the series has generated a lot of excitement among fans after a few shooting spot pictures showed Kavin and Reba Monica John in wedding attire, with the duo looking quite chilled while filming their scenes together leading fans to believe that the show will also include a lot of fun banter among them in the storyline. Akash Vaani is Kavin's next big venture after his Lift opposite Bigil sensation Amritha Aiyer, which was released last year on Disney+Hotstar. Produced by Kaustubha Mediaworks, the new web series' technical team features the likes of music composer Guna Balasubramanian, who is known for his work in the Tamil film, Yennanga Sir Unga Sattam, followed by cinematography by Santhakumar Chakravarthy, editing by Kalaivanan, art direction by Gopi Anand, and costume design by Praveen Raja. 

'Thalapathy' Vijay's next film, Beast, being directed by Nelson Dilipkumar under the prestigious Sun Pictures banner, is currently being filmed at the Gokulam Studios in Chennai. Earlier this week, photos of Vijay and former Indian cricket team captain M. S. Dhoni's meeting went viral on social media, with the excitement for Beast as well getting bigger with each passing day. Touted to be a high-octane mass action entertainer, Beast also has Bigg Boss 3 fame and popular actor Kavin serving as an assistant director, who took to social media on Saturday to post a selfie, while also revealing his favorite quote from Nelson's Kolamaavu Kokila released in 2018. 

Kolamaavu Kokila, which was Nelson Dilipkumar's film directorial debut, had Nayanthara in the lead role and turned out to be a critical and commercial success after which he teamed up with leading Tamil actor-producer Sivakarthikeyan for the upcoming black comedy, Doctor, gearing up for its release soon. Sharing his selfie, Kavin wrote the dialogue spoken by 'Motta' Rajendran's character Alphonse in Kolamaavu Kokila: "Aama amaidhiya irukunu amukki paaka kudadhu.. ! Alphonse amaidhiya irupaan nu avuthu paaka kudadhu.. !!  M(B)addest quote from "NelsonDilipkumar" 💥😄 #CoCo". The dialogue in Kolamaavu Kokila aka. Nelson Dilipkumar's Beast is one of the biggest films in production at present and will see Vijay opposite South Indian sensation Pooja Hegde, who incidentally is making her Tamil cinema comeback after her acting debut in director Mysskin's Mugamoodi released in 2012. Apart from being a part of Vijay's Beast, Kavin is awaiting the release of his own film, Lift, opposite Bigil fame Amritha Aiyer. 

Earlier this week, it was officially announced that Bigg Boss sensation Kavin and actress Teju Ashwini will feature together in a music video titled 'Asku Maaro' and the news created a huge buzz on social media. The highlight aspect of this independent single is that the song is crooned by the young and happening, Sivaangi Krishnakumar. Those who are active on social media would have definitely come across posts about Sivaangi and the young talent has earned a humongous fan base with her stint in Cook with Comali. Her combination with Ashwin won the hearts of the audience and she is currently one of the most loved personalities.

'Asku Maaro' marks Sivaangi's first ever professional track and she will be looking forward to a positive start. The makers have now released a new promo video of the song and it has instantly gone viral among the fans. The song is composed by popular music director Dharan Kumar and he seems to have got a potential winner in hand. The song has a fun vibe to it, thanks to the energetic beats and the rendition of Sivaangi. Kavin makes a good impression with his dance moves and he looks smart. The full song will be released tomorrow (March 30) at 6 PM in the evening on Sony Music's official YouTube channel. 'Asku Maaro' is the first official big release for Kavin after his Bigg Boss stint and he will be looking forward to a positive start.
