Popular Malayalam film producer Visakh Subramaniam got engaged to the love of his life, Advaita Srikanth, recently in Kerala and the pictures from the grand engagement event have surfaced on social media, taking the fans by delight. Visakh is the producer of the recent Malayalam blockbuster Hridayam which starred Pranav Mohanlal, Darshana Rajendran and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles. Visakh Subramaniam and Advaita Srikanth got engaged on August 21 through a grand and colourful ceremony and pictures from the event have been doing good rounds since this morning.

Kalyani Priyadarshan who played the female lead in Hridayam took to her official Instagram page to share some heartwarming pictures from the engagement event. Sharing the pictures on her page, she wrote, "21.08.2022 our boy @visakhsubramaniam got engaged. 🤍 I think from fear after seeing my colorful wardrobe this past month, I was strictly instructed to wear ‘light pastel ethnic’ for this one". Legendary director Priyadarshan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Pranav Mohanlal, director - actor Vineeth Sreenivasan, Asif Ali, Aju Varghese were some of the notable film personalities who were present at the engagement event to wish the couple.

Visakh shared the engagement pictures on his Instagram page and wishes have been pouring in from all sides for the new couple in town. Visakh and Advaita indeed look great together, making an adorable pair. Details regarding the wedding plans are yet to be known and more information is awaited. For the uninformed, Visakh is the grandson of veteren Malayalam producer P Subramaniam. Visakh currently Merryland Cinemas that produced Hridayam, directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan. Hridayam emerged highly successful at the box office, earning rave reviews from the critics and audiences.

Apart from Hridayam, Visakh Subramaniam has also produced films like Nivin Pauly's Love Action Drama, Saajan Bakery Since 1962, etc. Visakh is currently bankrolling quite a few interesting projects for which we can expect announcements to follow in the coming days.

Prithiviraj Sukumaran who made his directorial debut with the blockbuster hit Mohanlal starrer Lucifer is now back with his second film, Bro Daddy, which is ready for release. Bro Daddy features Mohanlal in the lead role, alongside a stellar star cast that includes the likes of Prithviraj Sukumaran, Meena, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Lalu Alex, Kaniha, Jagadish, Soubin Shahir, Unni Mukundan, Mallika Sukumaran, Murali Gopy, and others. The film is currently in the final stages of post-production, getting ready for its release. Bro Daddy will have a direct OTT release on the Disney Hotstar streaming platform and the makers are yet to lock the release date.

Meanwhile, the official teaser of Bro Daddy was released this evening (Dec 31) and it has caught the attention of the audience. The teaser gives us a brief sneak peek into the characters of Bro Daddy and it looks like a quality comedy entertainer is on its way. If Prithviraj's debut directorial was an action packed mass entertainer, he has opted for a light-hearted comedy-drama to be his second venture and it is an interesting genre shift. Mohanlal in a fun-filled character is a delight to watch and his fans are surely going to be delighted with his performance. Kalyani Priyadarshan looks cute, while Prithviraj, Meena, and other actors also leave their mark.

The trailer will probably give us a detailed picture of what the film is going to be about and the fans are in for some exciting treat. The film will premiere on the Disney Hotstar platform in January 2022. Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, this film has cinematography handled by Abinandhan Ramanujam and music composed by Deepak Dev. Silambarasan TR's Maanaadu is in the final stages of production and the makers are just with one small schedule to be completed. The film has got phenomenal expectations among the fans and film buffs and it is surely an important film to watch out for. Maanaadu is a political drama which features Simbu in the character of Abdul Khaaliq. SJ Surya will be seen as the main antagonist of the film and his face off against Simbu is going to be one of the major highlights. Kalyani Priyadarshan plays the female lead, while the star cast also includes the likes of Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekhar, Y Gee Mahendran, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaren, Manoj Bharathiraja, Daniel Annie Pope, and others.

Produced by Suresh Kamatchi, the film has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja who has a fantastic success ratio with both Simbu and Venkat Prabhu. Richard M Nathan and Praveen KL have handled the cinematography and editing departments respectively. Meanwhile the fans are all excited about the release of the first single which will be out on June 21, coming Monday. The full song will be released at 12.06 PM on the said date and the song is written by Madhan Karky.

Ahead of the song's release the makers have released the promo teaser which sounds promising and interesting. The song is called 'Meherezylaa' and it looks to be a fun-filled number that has a catchy tune to attract the masses. The visuals of this song will feature STR and Kalyani Priyadarshan and their pairing is going to look fresh on screen. The song sounds refreshing and it seems to be a potential feast for music lovers. The song is crooned by Yuvan Shankar Raja and his sister, Bhavatharini.

The music rights of Maanaadu have been snapped by Yuvan Shankar Raja's own music label, U1 Records. The makers are tentatively planning to release the film for this year's Aayudha Pooja festival weekend, but the plan will be finalized only after knowing about the Covid 19 situation. Actress Kalyani Priyadarshan is celebrating her birthday today (April 5) and wishes have been pouring in from various quarters for the young and talented actress. Marking the special occasion, the makers of Silambarasan TR's Maanaadu have released a new poster featuring Kalyani Priyadarshan. It is a known fact that Kalyani is the female lead of Maanaadu and this surprise poster release has excited the fans. The poster has already gone viral on social media. Kalyani looks pretty and gorgeous in this poster and her pairing with Silambarasan TR is definitely going to fresh. While wishing Kalyani on her birthday, Maanaadu's director Venkat Prabhu made an exciting revelation about her character in the film.

VP revealed Kalyani's character name in the film, which is Seetha Lakshmi. While Silambarasan TR will be seen in the character of Abdul Khaaliq, Kalyani's character is called Seetha Lakshmi. Very recently, the makers wrapped up a schedule in which the film's key portions - (the political gathering sequences) were shot. The pictures from the shooting spot had gone viral on social media. The team is just left with a few more days of shoot which will be wrapped up very soon.

Maanaadu is a political action drama that is being made on a grand scale and it has got huge expectations from the fans. Produced by Suresh Kamatchi, the film has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja who is known for his outstanding track record with both, Simbu and Venkat Prabhu. The film is touted to showcase Silambarasan TR in a different dimension and the fans are eagerly looking forward to witnessing the film on the big screen. Maanaadu is expected to release in theatres towards the end of this year. This Venkat Prabhu directorial features an ensemble star cast that includes the likes of Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekhar, SJ Suryah, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaran, Manoj Bharathiraja, Daniel Annie Pope, and others.

SJ Suryah, who plays a police officer, will be seen as the key antagonist in the film. On the technical side, the film will have cinematography by Richard M Nathan and editing by Praveen KL. Sivakarthikeyan's Hero directed by PS Mithran of Irumbu Thirai fame released a few months back and the film opened to decent reviews from fans and the movie got average numbers at the box-office. Sivakarthikeyan co-starred with Kalyani Priyadarshan, Arjun Sarja, Abhay Deol and Ivana who played important roles in the film. Hero produced by Kotapadi J Rajesh under the banner of KJR Studios has George C Williams was in charge of cinematography as Ruben made the cuts.  The story was written by PS Mithran, Pon Parthiban, Savari Muthu and Antony Bhagyaraj. Hero was also dubbed in Telugu under the title Shakthi and the film has a decent run there as well. Actor Sivakarthikeyan has had three releases in 2019 - starting with Mr. Local in May, Namma Veettu Pillai in September and the latest film being the action drama, Hero, directed by PS Mithran, which came out in theatres on December 20. Produced under the KJR Studios banner and featuring music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the film has taken a good start at the box office with the makers still continuing extensive promotions and have now released the third sneak peek video featuring Sivakarthikeyan andRobo Shankar, who plays a supporting role. 

The first two Hero sneak peek videos received a solid response from fans with the new and third video focusing on Sivakarthikeyan advising a group of friends on regarding a love proposal. Prior to the release of the film, the excitement for Hero was huge especially after the action-packed trailer was released and showed Sivakarthikeyan’s transformation from a boy-next-door to a superhero in plenty.

Apart from Sivakarthikeyan and Robo Shankar, Hero also includes Kalyani Priyadarshan playing the female lead followed by Bollywood actor Abhay Deol making his acting debut in Tamil cinema as the antagonist while ‘Action King’ Arjun and Naachiyaar fame Ivana have been cast in major supporting roles. Actor Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film, Hero, directed by PS Mithran is all set for a massive worldwide release later this week the 20th. The action drama has been produced under the KJR Studios banner and includes music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, which is the second time he is associating with Sivakarthikeyan after their 2013 film, Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga.

With extensive promotion works being carried out by KJR Studios for the film’s release, a deleted scene from Hero has now been released featured on Sivakarthikeyan and Kalyani Priyadarshan, who plays the role of the female lead. In this deleted scene, we see Kalyani Priyadarshan explain the suicidal thoughts that could come up in the minds of school students after their board exam results are announced. In order to get her relieved from the tension, we see Sivakarthikeyan and Robo Shankar get to work to change the exam results.

Sivakarthikeyan's Hero is gearing up to hit the screens on December 20 amidst good expectations from the fans. This will be the second directorial venture of Irumbu Thirai fame P.S.Mithran who showed immense promise in his debut. Talking about Hero, the first single and the teaser of the film have already been released and the latter got a very good reception from the fans. The teaser established the premise of the film and suggested that it could deal with the commercialization of education and the scam that revolves around it. 

The makers have now released the third single from the film and this song is called 'Over'a Feel Pannuren'. This romantic track is composed and crooned by Yuvan Shankar Raja with lyrics penned by Pa Vijay. Mc Sanna has lent her voice for the additional vocals and has also written additional lyrics. Yuvan stands out with his breezy rendition and the fans will surely like it. The song has been officially released on the YouTube channel of Lahari Music who owns the film's audio rights.

The team had recently released an augmented reality game, as part of the film's promotions, and the game has caught the attention of the social media users. The current young sensation in South cinema - Kalyani Priyadarshan is on a roll! After a sensational debut in Telugu and having completed three movies there, she is all set to leave a mark in the other Southern languages too. She will be debuting in Tamil alongside Sivakarthikeyan in Hero. Kalyani's next movie will be alongside Dulquer Salmaan and this new project is to be directed by Anoop Sathyan, son of veteran filmmaker Sathyan Anthikkad. This new movie, is said to be revolve around a mother-daughter relationship and will see Shobana playing the mother's role. Veteran actor Suresh Gopi has also been roped in to play a pivotal role. Reports state that this movie is a family drama which will talk about the change in the lives of the mother-daughter duo of Shobana and Kalyani, when two men - Dulquer and Suresh Gopi, enter their lives.

It is further reported that the whole movie will be set in Chennai and the entire shoot will happen here. Director Anoop is very fond of the city and wants to capture the feel of the city in the movie. Ranarangam is an upcoming Telugu crime action thriller film written and directed by Sudheer Varma. The film is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under his banner Sithara Entertainments and it features Sharwanand, Kajal Aggarwal and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles. It presents Sharwanand in two avatars and tells a story of a man who 'grew to become an empire himself'. The film is scheduled for release on 15 August 2019. This is Kalyani’s third film after Hello and Chitralahari. She has three Tamil projects in the lineup - Hero, Maanadu and Vaan.

Ranarangam which is scheduled to release on the 15th of August has music composed by Prashant Pillai and the lyrics for the songs are penned by Krishna Chaitanya and Ramajogayya Shastry.
